    Human Resources Manager (Legal)

    Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager with a strong legal background to join our HR team.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing HR operations, ensuring compliance with labour laws, driving employee engagement, and providing legal guidance on people-related matter.

    Job Description
    HR Operations & Strategy: 

    • Implement HR policies and procedures aligned with SLOT’s strategic objectives and values.

    Legal & Compliance: 

    • Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws, industrial relations regulations, and relevant international standards.

    Employee Relations & Engagement:

    • Manage grievance procedures, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters in line with labour law and company policy.

    Talent Management & Development:

    • Develop succession planning and leadership development programs to support SLOT’s growth.
    • Manage employee performance appraisals and provide coaching for managers on performance improvement.

    HR Administration & Reporting:

    • Prepare HR reports and metrics (turnover, retention, training hours, compliance audits) for management decision-making.
    • Oversee payroll input, statutory remittances (PAYE, Pension, NHF, NSITF), and compliance with tax and labour regulations.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, HR, Industrial Relations, or related fields (Legal qualification preferred).
    • Master's Degree would be an added advantage
    • 5 - 10 years HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
    • HR Professional certification is required
    • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour law and HR best practices.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
