    Human Resources Business Partner

    • The HRBP will act as a trusted advisor to management, providing strategic and operational HR support across employee relations, talent management, performance management, and workforce planning. The ideal candidate will combine strong HR expertise with business acumen, influencing leadership decisions and fostering a high-performance, engaged workplace culture.

    Key Competencies & Skills

    Strategic & Business Acumen

    • Ability to align HR strategy with business objectives.
    • Strong understanding of business operations, KPIs, and commercial drivers.
    • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze HR metrics and trends.

    Stakeholder & Relationship Management

    • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and managers as a trusted HR advisor.
    • Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
    • Strong consulting, coaching, and advisory capabilities.

    Employee Relations & Compliance

    • Solid experience handling employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
    • Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and risk management.
    • Ability to manage sensitive issues with confidentiality and professionalism.

    Talent & Performance Management

    • Experience driving performance management frameworks, succession planning, and talent reviews.
    • Ability to support leadership in talent development, engagement, and retention initiatives.
    • Skilled in identifying capability gaps and recommending people solutions.

    Change & Culture Management

    • Ability to support organizational change, restructuring, and transformation initiatives.
    • Strong culture-building and employee engagement skills.
    • Resilient and adaptable in evolving business environments.

    Communication & Influence

    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and conflict-management abilities.
    • Ability to challenge constructively and influence decision-making.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or any related field.
    • 5+ years’ progressive HR experience, with at least 2–3 years in an HR Business Partner or strategic HR role.
    • Strong working knowledge of HR policies, Nigerian labour laws, and HR best practices.
    • Experience supporting business leaders and line managers in a fast-paced or performance-driven environment.
    • Professional HR certification is an added advantage (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI).
    • Experience across key HR functions such as employee relations, performance management, talent management, workforce planning, and change management.
