HR Officer at West Africa Vocational Education (WAVE)

Location: Lekki 1, Lagos, Nigeria

Employment Type: Full-time (Tuesday-Friday )

Salary : 200k - 250k

Job Summary:

Our Client in the beauty industry is seeking to hire an experienced and proactive Human Resources Officer to manage and oversee all HR operations in our beauty business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

• Develop job descriptions and manage the recruitment process for all staff.
• Screen, interview, and onboard new hires.
• Ensure a seamless onboarding process and training for all employees.

Employee Management:

• Maintain employee records and ensure they are up to date.
• Address employee queries and mediate conflicts when needed.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and assist in career development planning.

Payroll and Benefits:

• Manage payroll, attendance, and leave tracking.Coordinate employee benefits, as well as create and coordinate incentives, and recognition programs.
• Policy Development and Compliance: Develop, implement, and update HR policies and ensure adherence.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws and workplace safety regulations.
• Workplace Culture and Retention:Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
• Organize team-building activities and wellness programs.
• Work on employee retention strategies.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of HR experience, preferably but not compulsory, in the beauty or hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices
• Proficient in HR software and Microsoft software
