    Hotel Manager

    Job Brief

    • We are looking for an ambitious and hardworking Hotel Manager for her property in Lagos.
    • In this position, the Hotel Manager will direct and coordinate hotel activities to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize full potential with a balanced focus on hotel mission, guests, employees and owners’ satisfaction.

    Job Responsibilities

    • The hotel manager is responsible for all aspects of the operations of the hotel.
    • Assigns duties to HOD's and observes performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures.
    • Provides training for staff and HOD's.
    • Acts as the hotels public relations officer and promotes the property within the hotel industry, local community and trade associations.
    • Monitor the Guest feedback on Trip Advisor and Hotel GSTS and RSTS surveys.
    • Receives and resolves guest complaints and service recovery process.
    • Liaise with the HR unit in the interview and selection of hotel staff
    • Review employee performance and conduct personnel actions such as disciplinary actions.
    • Maintains accurate records including cash flows sheet, guest floor limit, AR Ageing reports, and direct billing
    • Ensure full compliance to hotel operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures and service standards.
    • Builds owner loyalty through proactive communication, setting and managing expectations and delivering solid business results.
    • Audits on par stock on all areas to make sure that all required hotel supplies are ordered and stocked in advance of need.
    • Performs sudden audits on rooms and other operating areas.
    • Provide effective leadership to hotel team members.
    • Must be available 24/7 to respond to any guest or employee emergencies.
    • Handle corporate clients and take part in new client acquisition along with the sales team whenever required.
    • Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved.
    • All other duties as assigned by the Management.

    Qualifications

    • Applicant should have a minimum qualification of B.Sc / HND or an education / experience combination in the areas of marketing, hospitality, business administration and property management.
    • Knowledge of hotel property software and understanding of business administration principles is key.

    Experience:

    • The Hotel Manager position will require a cognate experience of 8 years and above with extensive experience in managing hotels. A good record of balancing general duties as well as marketing.
    • Good personality and excellent command of English, strong organizational, public relations, and management skills.
