The Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management Head is to play the pivotal role in ensuring we maintain adherence to regulations, and best practices in corporate governance and drive engagement of relevant stakeholders in the achievement of an effective enterprise risk management.
(S)he is responsible for ensuring that our policies and procedures comply with regulatory and ethical standards; and that such procedures are standardized and scalable as we drive to expand sustainably.
Responsibilities
Interviewing executives, managers, and other employees to determine risk and compliance-related priorities.
Ensuring market surveillance activities so as to flag and address actions that can potentially manipulate the Exchange’s operations and stakeholders.
Coordinating with different Trybe Heads/Squad Leads to review all departmental/unit SOP/policy documentation, processes, and practices.
Managing the Group’s enterprise risk.
Executing relevant corporate governance assessments and providing recommendations to align current posture with regulations and best practices.
Coordinating regulatory compliance procedures across organizational structures.
Designing and monitoring control systems to deal with violations of legal rules and internal policies, as well as assessing same for continuous improvement.
Performing periodic process and compliance audits and compiling reports.
Leading employee training sessions on compliance practices and procedures.
Keeping abreast of regulatory changes and developments in the regulatory environment.
Supervising compliance officers and team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business Administration, or any relevant field.
An accredited qualification in regulatory and compliance assurance will be advantageous.
More than five (5) years’ work experience in the relevant industry.
Three (3) or more years of experience as a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, or similar.
Rich experience in risk management.
Strong knowledge of exchange processes, regulations and governing laws.
Knowledge of applicable corporate governance frameworks.
