Social Media Manager at a Fashion Brand Firm

Gents Standard is a Lagos men's traditional fashion brand — senator styles, agbada, and native wear. We're looking for a creative, culturally fluent Social Media Manager to build our presence on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and WhatsApp.

This is a hybrid role — 2 days on-site per week (Maryland, Lagos) for reporting, strategy, and content shoots. Remaining days remote.

What You'll Do

• Create and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, and WhatsApp — minimum 5 posts/week
• Shoot and edit short-form video (Reels and TikTok) — styling videos, product showcases, fabric walkthroughs
• Write captions that speak to the Lagos traditional fashion audience
• Manage all DMs and comments — turn enquiries into sales conversations
• Repurpose our existing editorial content (senator guides, tribal attire articles) into social formats
• Maintain a 2-week-ahead content calendar around Nigerian cultural occasions — wedding season, Sallah, owambe season, December
• Submit a weekly performance report every Monday

Who We're Looking For

• Someone who genuinely loves Nigerian men's fashion and understands Lagos culture
• Can shoot and edit short-form video on a smartphone — show us examples
• Strong caption writing in English with cultural fluency
• Responds to DMs fast and converts conversations into customers
• Organised, self-directed, and consistent without daily supervision
• Minimum 1–2 years managing social media with content you actually created
