The Role
The Legal Associate will work closely with the Managing Partner and senior lawyers on corporate, commercial, real estate, and governance matters.
This role offers meaningful exposure to transactional work, regulatory advisory, and company secretarial practice in a hands-on boutique environment.
It is ideal for a candidate who wants accelerated growth and direct mentorship within a structured and commercially oriented practice.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Conduct in-depth legal research on corporate, regulatory, and commercial matters
- Draft and review commercial agreements (NDAs, service agreements, JVAs, shareholders’ agreements, etc.)
- Draft and review real estate documentation (Deeds of Assignment, Leases, etc.)
- Assist in corporate restructuring and capital raising transactions
- Prepare legal opinions and advisory memoranda
- Conduct property due diligence and verification
- Prepare and file perfection documents
- Draft board minutes and corporate documentation
- Support regulatory compliance and statutory filings
- Assist in developing governance frameworks and internal policies
- Interface professionally with clients and regulatory agencies
- Participate in transaction discussions and client meetings
- Contribute to business development and internal knowledge-sharing sessions
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
- LL.B and B.L.
- 2–4 years post-qualification experience
- Strong exposure to corporate and commercial drafting
Advantage
- Membership of ICSAN (or demonstrable experience in company secretarial practice)

Work Environment
This is primarily an office-based role in Ibadan.
The position may require:
- Attendance at client meetings
- Visits to regulatory offices
- Property site visits

The role requires the ability to manage multiple assignments and maintain a high standard of confidentiality.
Remuneration & Benefits
- Monthly Salary: ₦100,000
- Mid-Month Transport Allowance: ₦40,000
- HMO with designated healthcare provider
- NBA and NBA Branch Annual Dues
This is a growth-oriented role. While prior corporate transactional experience is desirable, intellectual curiosity, structured thinking, and adaptability are equally important.
