The Head of Safety, Security and Government Protocol will be responsible for the development and implementation of security policies, guidelines and procedures in order to ensure the security and safety of all Plan staff, property and operations at the country office and state level.
He/she will interface with government authorities across the country in the areas of protocols and interagency affairs, such as the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Customs Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Ministry of Foreign Affairs etc.
About You
We are looking for a security professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or any related field, with at least 4-5 years’ experience in security, health and safety management or similar capacity.
He/she should possess good understanding of national security-related issues and their relations to Plan’s contexts, experience in conducting participatory risk assessments and preparing situational analyses, including the analysis of factors from both the internal and external environments, identifying crucial risks that have to be addressed, setting objectives and developing plans of action.
