    Country Finance Director

    The opportunity

    • This role will provide Overall leadership and management of the finance function, promote financial stewardship, accountability, reliability, and accuracy of financial reports, ensure effective resources management, accounting and reporting, and utilization and safeguarding of assets.
    • The post holder will also implement financial policies for budget, cash management, grants, and other donors accounting, project financial review, accounting, and reporting in compliance with Plan International Nigeria’s process and policies providing updates to the governance board as may be needed.
    • The Country Finance Director is responsible for leading, managing and developing the finance team to support the implementation of financial standards, processes and systems throughout Plan International Nigeria to enable the office to deliver on its program strategies and accountabilities to children, communities and donors. 
    • As a member of Country Management Team, the CFD contributes to the development of the strategy of the country, understands impact of policy changes on Finance strategy, acts as financial sparring partner in management, and advises the management team on financial matters.

    About You

    • We are looking for a qualified and experienced chartered accountant with Professional Financial/Accounting qualification (ICAN, CPA, or equivalent), who possess at least 7 – 10 years’ experience with at least 5 of those years in a senior management position.
    • He/she should have a BSc. In Accounting, Finance, or any related field, a master’s degree will be an added advantage.
    • The post holder should have knowledge of the sector and the financial management issues specific to it, knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, Control standards, and the reporting requirements of major international grant donors with proven effective management skills leading teams across several sites and operating in a multi-cultural and matrix management structure with proven excellent financial analytical skills

    Head of Safety, Security and Government Protocol

    The opportunity

    • The Head of Safety, Security and Government Protocol will be responsible for the development and implementation of security policies, guidelines and procedures in order to ensure the security and safety of all Plan staff, property and operations at the country office and state level.
    • He/she will interface with government authorities across the country in the areas of protocols and interagency affairs, such as the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Customs Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Ministry of Foreign Affairs etc.   

    About You

    • We are looking for a security professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or any related field, with at least 4-5 years’ experience in security, health and safety management or similar capacity.
    • He/she should possess good understanding of national security-related issues and their relations to Plan’s contexts, experience in conducting participatory risk assessments and preparing situational analyses, including the analysis of factors from both the internal and external environments, identifying crucial risks that have to be addressed, setting objectives and developing plans of action.

    Director of People, Culture and Organizational Development

    The opportunity

    • The Director of People, Culture, and Organizational Development is to provide strategic leadership to Plan International Nigeria’s People, Culture, and organizational development processes, through initiatives that promote employee growth and a positive organizational culture that aligns with Plan’s vision, mission, and goals with the aim of ensuring effective, harmonious, and interdependent teams, functions and programs within the country program.
    • S/he is responsible for the direction and supervision of people, Culture, and Organizational Development function, including capacity building, performance assessment of staff, provision of effective administration services as well as the development and monitoring of HR strategies, policies, and activities in accordance with Plan policies to ensure the team effectiveness and healthy working environment.
    • S/he is required to identify, lead and direct continuous improvement initiatives and effectively anticipate, mitigate, and maximize the opportunities to build and retain an effective team supportive of the Plan’s business needs while managing risks in the local context, ensuring full compliance with local labor law and Plan’s policies, procedures, and programs, both locally and globally.
    • He/she is expected to practice feminist leadership, promote equality, diversity and inclusion, actively seek innovative solutions for problems, courageously and respectfully share their opinions and ideas, break down barriers and engender cross-department collaboration, practice active listening, maintain confidentiality, build trust and are passionate about children’s rights and equality for girls

    About You

    • We are looking for a professional in human resources with a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or other relevant fields and at least 7 -10 years of experience working in a HR generalist role with at least 5 of these years in a management role.
    • He/she must have experience successfully implementing organizational HR policy and practice and experience in a HR specialist function, organizational design, performance management, reward management, recruitment and selection, training and development.
