Job Description

• The West African arm of a leading global bank are seeking a Head of Cash, to lead their Cash strategy across the Nigerian and West African regions.
• This role offers full management of a number of divisions including sales, client implementation, client service, ongoing account management, and product.
• Based in Lagos, sitting within the Product Management arm of Transaction Banking, and managing a budget of between $50m - $100m per annum, the Head of Cash (West Africa) will manage a team of 5 – 10 individuals across West Africa.
• You will be responsible for the management of Finance (P&L and pricing), as well as all risk and compliance aspects for the region. The aim is the grow the reach of cash products, particularly within the Petroleum Exporting countries of North Africa and the Middle East. You will be replacing a senior staff member who has moved internally within the business

Key Duties

• Manage a team of 5 – 10 direct and indirect reports
• Responsible for revenue and costs for the whole cash business
• Report into Regional Head of Transaction banking
• Lead both Transaction banking & cash strategy across the region
• Cross-sell cash product offering to other coverage divisions
• Be instrumental in creating a revised TOM (Target Operating Model) for the Cash business
• Be the face of the Cash business at committee meetings
• Offer senior support to the largest and most cash-intensive customers
• Deal with regulators such as PRA and FCA
• Risk & Governance are also key

Key Qualifications

• Cash expert, deep understanding of cash terrain and personalities
• Deep knowledge of Nigerian and wider West African Markets
• Strong understanding of banking systems architecture
