    Head of Asset Management

    Our client, a real estate and lifestyle development organization, is looking to hire a Head of Asset Management will lead the organization Asset Managers’ efforts to provide innovative and high-quality asset management solutions to high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), institutional investors, and retail clients. This role includes overseeing portfolio management, advisory services, collective investment schemes, and securities trading, while also focusing on research, data analysis, and department setup. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the treasury team to optimise fixed-income opportunities and drive sustainable growth. 

    Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership

    • Develop and implement the asset management strategy aligned with the firm’s objectives.
    • Set up the asset management department, including defining operational structures, processes, and policies.

    Portfolio and Investment Management

    • Oversee client portfolios to ensure optimal asset allocation and risk management.
    • Identify and recommend investment opportunities across fixed-income, equities, and alternative investments.

    Product and Service Development

    • Design and promote collective investment schemes, portfolio management products, and advisory services.
    • Introduce digitally driven cutting-edge tools and services to enhance asset management offerings.

    Client Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with HNIs, institutional investors, and retail clients.
    • Deliver tailored investment solutions to meet diverse client needs.

    Research and Analysis

    • Conduct in-depth research and data analysis to guide investment decisions.
    • Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors affecting asset performance.

    Collaboration and Team Leadership

    • Work closely with the Treasurer to maximise fixed-income opportunities and optimise liquidity management.
    • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team.

    Compliance and Reporting

    • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
    • Prepare regular performance reports and insights for management and clients.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Investment Management, or a related field. An MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CIS) is highly desirable.
    • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in asset management, investment banking, or portfolio management.
    • Proven track record in managing diverse investment portfolios and achieving measurable results.
    • Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and risk management.
    • Proficiency in asset management tools and technology platforms.

    Must have skills

    • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
    • Leadership and team-building capabilities.
    • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in research and data analysis.
