Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Mechanic to oversee the maintenance and repair of our fleet of empty handlers, cranes, forklifts, and reach stackers.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, a deep understanding of logistics and terminal operations with proven leadership abilities.
• You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment, ultimately contributing to our operational success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the mechanics team in the maintenance and repair of empty handlers, forklifts, cranes and reach stackers.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies regarding equipment maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment repairs.
• Collaborate with other departments to support operational needs and ensure seamless logistics operations.
• Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with a focus on logistics or warehousing operations.
• Proven experience in managing a team of mechanics or technicians.
• Strong knowledge of empty handlers, forklifts, and reach stackers, including diagnostic and repair procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
