    General Manager (Chief Operating Officer)

    Role Overview

    • The General Manager (Chief Operating Officer) will provide overall operational leadership and serve as the primary control point for daily activities.
    • The role is responsible for translating strategic objectives into compliant, efficient, and scalable operations while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and oversee day-to-day operations across onboarding, contribution facilitation, agent coordination, and service delivery.
    • Drive execution of approved operating procedures and translate strategy into measurable operational plans and performance targets.
    • Manage and supervise state coordinators and field agents, ensuring proper training, monitoring, and compliance with engagement protocols.
    • Implement robust operational risk controls, particularly in field activities and third-party interactions.
    • Ensure strict segregation of pension contribution flows from company operating accounts in line with regulatory standards.
    • Coordinate cross-functionally with Product, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Technology, and Compliance to ensure operational readiness for expansion and new initiatives.
    • Monitor KPIs, service quality metrics, and contributor experience indicators, providing periodic performance reports to Executive Management and the Board.
    • Drive continuous improvement across processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and service delivery.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Business, Management, Finance, Operations, or a related discipline.
    • 8–12 years’ relevant experience in operations management, programme delivery, or general management roles, preferably within financial services or other regulated sectors.
    • Demonstrated experience managing large, distributed teams and multi-location operations.
    • Strong understanding of compliance-driven environments and governance frameworks.
