Financial Controller at SIAO

• We are seeking a Financial Controller to lead all finance and accounting operations, drive financial strategy, and ensure long-term sustainability. The role involves overseeing financial reporting (IFRS), budgeting, treasury, tax compliance, internal controls, and risk management, while partnering with business units to enhance profitability. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial reporting, forecasting, and team leadership, with proven integrity and strategic thinking.

Objective:

• Lead and manage all finance and accounting activities, ensuring financial performance, strong internal controls, compliance, and long-term sustainability of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, forecasts, and risk management frameworks.
• Manage group cash flow, treasury operations, banking relationships, and capital-raising initiatives.
• Oversee financial reporting in line with IFRS, ensure tax compliance, and coordinate audits.
• Partner with business units to drive profitability, track ROI, and support decision-making.
• Strengthen internal controls and mitigate financial/operational risks.
• Build and mentor a high-performing finance team while fostering accountability and excellence.

Required Expertise:

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting & forecasting.
• Proficiency in taxation, treasury, ERP systems, risk management, and ROI analysis.
• Skilled in financial modelling, analysis, and business case development.

Requirements

• A Master's degree or additionla diplomas in finance of economics (e.g., MBA, MSc Finance) are added advantages.
• ACA / ACCA (Mandatory) Minimum of ten (IO) years' progressive experience in a finance or accounting role audit.
• At least one (I) year verifiable experience in an audit firm
• At least two (2) years verifiable experience as a team lead or manager in a finance or accounting role.
• Working experience managing finance for construction, property development, facility and property management organisations will be an added advantage.
