    Finance Officer, TPO Nigeria

    Job Summary:

    The Finance Officer will support the implementation of TPO’s financial policies and procedures, ensure proper financial management, budgeting, reporting, and compliance with donors and organizational requirements. The role will provide financial insights to program teams and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage day-to-day accounting operations in line with TPO policies.
    • Review financial transactions and ensure proper documentation and control.
    • Support sub-award management, ensuring partner financial reports are accurate and timely.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and donors.
    • Oversee payroll processes and support financial analysis.
    • Maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations, and reporting systems.
    • Monitor budget utilization and support program teams in budget tracking.
    • Assist in financial compliance with donor regulations and statutory requirements.
    • Support and train staff in financial systems, procedures, and compliance.
    • Ensure timely financial closures and audits.

    Qualifications/Experience:

    • University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
    • Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA or equivalent) is an advantage.
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial management, preferably in INGOs or donor-funded projects.
    • Proficiency in computerized accounting systems (QuickBooks preferred).
    • Knowledge of donor regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
