    Experienced Primary School English Teachers

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced English Teacher to inspire and educate students across the Grades (Primary and Secondary levels).
    • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of excellence in teaching English language and literature, with the ability to foster creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills in learners.
    • The English Teacher will deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.
    • This role requires expertise in curriculum design, classroom management, and innovative teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and deliver English lessons aligned with curriculum standards for Grades.
    • Teach core skills including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative writing, and literature analysis.
    • Prepare students for examinations through structured practice and feedback.
    • Differentiate instruction to support learners of varying abilities.
    • Encourage critical thinking and creativity through debates, essays, and projects.
    • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
    • Integrate technology and digital tools into teaching and learning.
    • Promote a love of reading and literature across age groups.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning.
    • Contribute to extracurricular activities such as drama, writing clubs, or public speaking.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
    • Teaching qualification/certification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
    • 2–5 years teaching experience in English at Primary and/or Secondary levels.
    • Proven track record of student success in examinations and literacy development.
    • Experience in curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
    • Background in extracurricular English activities (debate, drama, creative writing) is an advantage.

    Essential Skills:

    • Strong command of English language and literature.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Classroom management expertise with emphasis on positive reinforcement.
    • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
    • Adaptability and creativity in lesson planning.
    • Critical thinking and analytical skills.
    • Collaboration and teamwork with staff and parents.
    • Proficiency in digital learning tools and e-resources.
