Job Summary

• Cool Group is seeking for a skilled and proactive *Corporate Counselto join our team.
• The ideal candidate will provide legal support across the business, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, manage risks, and support corporate governance practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research on laws, regulations, and precedents.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, policies, and memoranda.
• Provide sound legal advice to management and business units.
• Assist in developing and implementing compliance programs and risk management strategies.
• Conduct compliance audits and identify legal risks with mitigation plans.
• Support corporate governance by preparing board resolutions, minutes, and other documents.
• Provide advisory services on employment law, intellectual property, data protection, and commercial transactions.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations when required.
• Maintain organized legal records and proper documentation of correspondence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) and Call to the Nigerian Bar (B.L).
• 2–3 years relevant post-call experience in corporate law, compliance, or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian laws, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
