Content Creator (Writers & Comedians) at NaijaEyes Digital Media

We are on the hunt for creative and expressive Content Creators — talented writers and comedians who can craft engaging, original content that resonates with our audience.

Whether you're a wordsmith with a punchy pen or a comedian with a camera and clever punchlines, this role is for individuals who are bold, funny, culturally in tune, and know how to drive engagement online.

You’ll be part of a content team focused on storytelling, humor, and viral content across our digital platforms, including social media, blog, and video channels.

Key Responsibilities:

For Content Writers:

1. Write creative, engaging, and SEO-friendly blog posts, captions, and scripts.
2. Research trends, cultural moments, and online conversations to shape content ideas.
3. Develop storytelling concepts around lifestyle, entertainment, food, pop culture, etc.
4. Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with brand messaging.
5. Contribute to newsletters, website copy, and campaign materials.

For Comedians:

1. Create short-form and skit-style video content that entertains and sparks shares
2. Pitch and script funny concepts or trending comedy formats (IG skits, TikToks, Reels)
3. Record and edit videos (basic editing skills required)
4. Collaborate with the social media team to schedule and post content
5. Participate in content brainstorms and creative campaigns

Required Skills & Qualities:

1. Proven experience as a writer, comedian, or digital content creator (please share samples)
2. A strong sense of humor and storytelling (especially for Nigerian & Gen Z/Millennial audiences)
3. Excellent command of written English and/or Pidgin (as needed by platform)
4. Ability to generate original, creative ideas consistently
5. Comfortable being on camera (for comedians) or collaborating with video editors
6. Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, YouTube, and content trends

Bonus: Basic video editing (CapCut, InShot, VN, etc.) or scriptwriting skills

Nice to Have (But Not Mandatory):

1. Experience creating viral content
2. Large social media following or proven influence
3. Knowledge of SEO and content marketing best practices
4. Team player attitude with good communication skills
