We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Commodity Sales Manager to lead and execute national bulk sales strategies for our Rice and Margarine product lines across Nigeria.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in commodity sales, a strong national network of buyers and distributors, and a successful track record of driving growth in the Nigerian FMCG or commodities trading landscape.
Candidates with proven experience at PAL Nigeria or similar organizations are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement national sales strategies for bulk commodity products, specifically rice and margarine.
Manage key accounts and relationships with distributors, institutional buyers, wholesalers, and B2B clients across the country.
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and business opportunities across regions.
Coordinate pricing, product availability, and distribution strategies in alignment with company goals.
Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.
Prepare regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic insights for senior management.
Lead and mentor a team of regional sales executives, ensuring KPIs and revenue targets are met.
Maintain compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or related field; an MBA is an added advantage.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in commodity sales, with strong expertise in rice and margarine product categories.
Demonstrated national sales experience across Nigeria with a strong client portfolio and deep understanding of local market dynamics.
Prior experience working with or for PAL Nigeria is highly desirable.
Proven ability to lead large-scale sales operations and manage multi-regional teams.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong business acumen and analytical ability to drive data-based decisions.
Willingness to travel nationwide as needed.
