This position has main responsibility for supporting the Head of the Commercial Credit Unit in attaining the objectives established for the Unit. In particular, the officer will be responsible for collaborating with the Unit Head in identifying the markets for equipment leasing, developing suitable products for the markets, mobilising resources for serving and winning the markets, originating Commercial Credit transactions, appraising and managing Commercial Credit facilities, and building a Commercial Credit portfolio such that the Portfolio at Risk (PAR) does not exceed 2.5% at any point.
Job Description
Identify the markets for Commercial Credit transactions and attract customers seeking Commercial Credit financing to the Company
Review Commercial Credit requests and process such transactions through the laid down approval and disbursement routes
Build Commercial Credit customers’ profile and engage with internal stakeholders in developing and selling suitable Commercial Credit products to the market
Pursue efficient collection strategies such that ensure less than 2.5% Portfolio at Risk (PAR) at any point in time
Provide support to the Head of Commercial Credit in developing and implementing the Commercial Credit portfolio plan
Implement the budget for Commercial Credit as laid out in the annual Operating Budget
Proactive identification and escalation of key credit risks in Commercial Credit
Monitoring, questioning, reporting and resolving negative changes in credit quality in any Commercial Credit counterparty
Measure the outcome of the Commercial Credit portfolio plan and report regularly to the Head of the Commercial Credit Unit
Perform such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of the Commercial Credit Unit or directed by Management
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in any field.
Minimum of 5 years working experience.
Strong ability to communicate (written and oral) effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
