Premier Hub Innovation Center exists to fast-track innovation and enterprise in Nigeria by creating an enabling environment and empowering youths who are leveraging technology to build ideas into sustainable solutions.
Manage the activities of the finance department and coordinate the process of corporate financial planning, budgeting, control, and reporting.
Responsible for managing the Hub invoices, Proforma, Expenses, cash flows, banking relationships and facilities, including negotiating new facilities where required.
Ensure invoices are issued on time and payment are made within 30days
Filing of PAYE taxes for the Business Units.
Filing of VAT and WHT for the Business Units
Ensure systems and accounting records are set up properly, accurately, complying with statutory requirements.
Advise management on the financial implications of business activities and initiatives to maximize profitability and or take corrective actions where necessary.
Ensure that internal controls are in place and reviewed periodically for effectiveness and suitability.
Ensure availability of adequate funds for project activities at the Hub by submitting timely
Lead the planning and budgeting process of the hub.
Work plans and budgets and accountability of all funds previously released, to the PMU.
Undertake monthly reconciliations and prepare financial reports and advise the management on the financial status of the Hub, and ensure timely submission of the reports to the Operation Manager & MD/CEO.
Ensure compliance with all legal, audit, tax and contractual responsibilities.
Ensure appropriate budget is provided for programs and other activities
Manage requests for extra-budgetary expense
Prepare income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements
Support annual audit process with auditors
File annual returns with the Corporate Affairs Commission
Manage company accounts and maintain financial files and record.
Provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs
Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements
B.Sc / M.Sc Degree in Accounting, Finance or a relevant field
Professional certification (e.g. ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is mandatory.
Minimum of four (4) years of proven experience as a Chartered Accountant, preferably in the real estate, co-working space, or hospitality industry.
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including GAAP
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
