    College Librarian

    Job Details

    • The College Librarian is a Prod Officer responsible to the Prove for the day-to-day administration of the College Library and the coordination of library services the teaching units of the College.
    • The Cogs Librarian shall be in charge of the management and admiration of the College library services, staff and facilities.

    The Person
    The suitable candidate must:

    • Have a minimum of Master in Library Studies (MLS) with at least eighteen (18) years relevant and cognate experience; part of which must be in the Nigeria College of Education system.
    • Be ICT-compliant with excellent working knowledge of applications relating to quality library service delivery. Versatility in IT and library automation is highly required.
    • Have the membership and evidence of current registration with recognized professional bodies related to library service in Nigeria as well as membership of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria.
    • Have a good record of the following scholarly publications through reputable medium:
      • Three (3) national/International conference papers/seminar papers plus three (3) journal articles; or
      • Three (3) national/international conference papers/seminars plus three (3) meaningful chapters in standard textbook(s), or
      • Three (3) national/international conference papers/seminars plus two (2) standard textbooks.
    • Have attained the rank of a Chief Librarian on CONPCASS 09 in the Nigerian College of Education system.
    • Not be more than fifty-nine (59) years of age at the time of taking up the appointment.

    Condition of Service

    • The salary and conditions of service shall be in accordance with what obtains in the Nigerian Federal College of Education system.
