Chief Medical Director / CEO at University of Portharcourt Teaching Hospital

Responsibilities

• The Chief Medical Director is the Head/Chief Executive of the institution. He is accountable to the Board of Management and the Coordinating Minister of Health & Social Welfare.
• The Chief Medical Director is charged with the responsibility of the execution of policies and matters affecting the day-to-day management of the hospital.

Requirements
Interested Candidates must have the following qualifications:

• Candidate must be a Medical or Dental Practitioner registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with not less than Twelve (12) years post-graduation;
• Candidate must possess current practicing License from MDCN;
• Candidate must be a fellow of either the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or West African Postgraduate Medical College, or its equivalent, registered by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria;
• Candidate must have been a Consultant for a minimum of Five (5) years;
• Candidate must be medically fit (Attach Evidence);
• Candidate must be of proven good character and integrity:
• Evidence of Medical Researches is an added advantage;
• Administrative qualification and experience are added advantages:
• Knowledge of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is an added advantage:
• Attraction of funded grants by individual candidate is an added advantage:

Salary and Allowances
Salary and allowances will be in accordance with the Public Service Salary Structure for this category of Officer.
