    Business Development Manager

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Identify and aggressively pursue new business opportunities in the oil & gas, construction, and engineering sectors across Nigeria and international markets.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients 
    • Lead end-to-end business development cycles — from prospect identification, RFQ/tender responses, and negotiations, to contract closure.
    • Develop and execute market entry strategies to expand DGR's client base and service portfolio in targeted regions.
    • Represent DGR at industry events, trade shows, and stakeholder meetings to position the company as atop-tier contractor and supplier.
    • Collaborate with technical, operations, and finance teams to develop competitive bids and winning proposals.
    • Track market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to continuously sharpen DGR's value proposition.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is a strong advantage.
    • Minimum of 5–8 years of proven business development experience, ideally within oil & gas, construction, or civil engineering in Nigeria.
    • Deep understanding of the Nigerian oil & gas landscape, procurement processes, and key stakeholders (NNPC, NCDMB, NUPRC, IOCs).
    • Demonstrated track record of winning contracts, growing revenue, and managing high-value client relationships.
    • Strong commercial acumen — you understand margins, contract terms, and what it takes to close deals profitably.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. You can hold a room and hold your ground.
    • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office Suite, and proposal/bid writing.
