    Business Head (Consultant)

    About the job

    • A4&T Power Solutions is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Head’ Consultancy to lead and scale this division of the Business. The Business Head (Consultant) will be responsible for leading the company’s renewable energy advisory and consulting services. The successful candidate will oversee curriculum positioning, industry collaborations, participant acquisition, mentorship frameworks, and certification standards while ensuring the academy effectively bridges the renewable energy skill gap for professionals and graduates. The ideal candidate must possess solid experience in renewable energy, professional training or advisory services, and demonstrated leadership in building and scaling impact-driven programs.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership

    • Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the consultancy division.
    • Identify market opportunities within solar, mini-grid, EV infrastructure, energy efficiency, and other renewable energy sectors
    • Position the company as a leading renewable energy advisory firm.
    • Develop and execute the strategic growth plan for the consulting and training arm.
    • Drive revenue generation through training programs, advisory services, partnerships, and sponsorships.
    • Design, position, and continuously improve 5–6 week training programs with strong practical components.
    • Manage and mentor trainers, facilitators, and program coordinators.
    • Ensure quality delivery of training, mentorship, and certification processes.
    • Identify new market opportunities within renewable energy and circular economy sectors.

    Business Development & Revenue Growth

    • Drive revenue targets and profitability of the consultancy arm.
    • Identify, pursue, and secure high-value consulting projects.
    • Develop partnerships with investors, government agencies, corporate clients, and development institutions.
    • Lead proposal development, bidding, and contract negotiations.

    Technical & Commercial Oversight

    • Oversee feasibility studies, energy audits, project structuring, and technical advisory services.
    • Ensure high-quality project deliverables and client satisfaction.
    • Provide commercial structuring support for renewable energy projects.
    • Supervise financial modelling and investment analysis for projects.

    Team Leadership & Management

    • Build and manage a high-performing consultancy team.
    • Provide mentorship and professional development for consultants.
    • Ensure effective project allocation and delivery within timelines and budget.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and regulatory engagements.
    • Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders.
    • Engage with international partners and funding institutions when required.

    Educational Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
    • Master’s degree (MBA or related field) is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in renewable energy, with at least 4–6 years in a leadership or business management role.
    • Proven experience in renewable energy project development or advisory services.

    Skills & Competencies 

    • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies (Solar PV, Mini-grid, Energy Storage, EV Infrastructure).
    • Experience in project feasibility studies and financial modelling.
    • Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
    • ·Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
    • ·Excellent presentation and communication skills.
    • Ability to engage C-level executives and high-value stakeholders.
    • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks within the energy sector.
    • Strong business acumen and revenue-driven mindset.

    • Consultancy division revenue growth.
    • Participant enrollment numbers per cohort.
    • Program completion rate Participant satisfaction score (post-program feedback rating).
    • Number of corporate partnerships secured annually.
    • Number and value of projects secured quarterly/annually.
    • Client retention and satisfaction rate.
    • Successful delivery of projects within timeline and budget.
    • Expansion into new markets or service offerings.
