We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria.
This role is crucial in driving growth and expanding our presence in the oil and gas sector across the region.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement business development strategies to identify new opportunities in the oil and gas market
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform business decisions
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in the energy sector
Lead complex negotiations and close high-value deals with oil and gas companies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction
Create and present compelling business proposals and financial models to potential clients
Monitor industry regulations and market conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline, and revenue forecasts
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in business development within the oil and gas industry
Proven track record of successful deal closures and revenue generation in the energy sector
In-depth knowledge of the oil and gas industry, including upstream, midstream, and downstream operations
Strong understanding of energy market trends and regulations
Excellent skills in business development strategies, market analysis, and client relationship management
Exceptional negotiation and project management abilities
Proficiency in financial modeling and CRM software
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
Willingness to travel extensively within Nigeria and internationally as required
