Blending Operator – Seasoning Factory at Johnvents Foods Limited

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Blending Operator to join our production team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for operating blending equipment, weighing and mixing raw materials, monitoring product consistency, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards within the production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor blending machines and related equipment
• Ensure proper mixing time, speed, and product consistency during blending
• Verify availability and condition of raw materials before production
• Prevent cross-contamination during blending activities
• Ensure blended products meet required quality specifications
• Monitor blending processes and report abnormalities promptly
• Minimize material wastage and ensure efficient material usage
• Follow production schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Carry out routine equipment inspections and basic troubleshooting
• Report machine faults or operational issues promptly
• Clean and sanitize blending equipment after production
• Comply with GMP, food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations
• Ensure proper use of PPE during operations
• Support housekeeping and sanitation activities
• Work closely with supervisors, quality assurance, and maintenance teams
• Participate in product changeovers and line clearance activities
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and efficiency

Requirements

• Minimum of OND or Technical Certification
• At least 2 years’ experience in batching or manufacturing operations
• Experience in food or seasoning production is an added advantage
• Ability to operate blending equipment efficiently and safely
• Good understanding of blending processes, weighing, and measurement systems
• Ability to read and interpret batch sheets and Bills of Materials (BOM)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Knowledge of GMP, food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures

Required Competencies:

• Knowledge of blender controls and settings
• Understanding of seasoning blending operations and production flow
• Knowledge of raw materials used in seasoning production
• Ability to monitor blending time, speed, and batch parameters
• Understanding of material handling and storage requirements
• Ability to identify and prevent cross-contamination between flavors and allergens
• Understanding of materials reconciliation processes
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good housekeeping and workplace organization practices
