    Assistant General Manager

    About the Job

    • In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and direction in the execution of business operations and activities associated with construction and real estate projects, you will also provide business management support to the Head of Operations.

    Responsibilities
    Sales / Business Development/Structuring:

    • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
    • Prepare departmental budget and forecast for staffing, equipment, materials, supplies, and capital for projects
    • Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
    • Design strategy and set goals for growth, work closely with the stakeholders of the business for operational and strategic decisions.
    • Liaise with the CEO and Head of Operations to drive and implement corporate strategy based on current portfolio opportunities, finance needs and organizational capabilities.
    • Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes.
    • Lead the real estate project development team, determine rental income and negotiate lease agreements
    • Gather, prepare, and present information to management on proposed projects in order to obtain approvals
    • Develop and cultivate relationships with landowners, brokers, potential business partners, and professional organizations
    • Manage and oversees capital and operating construction projects, initiates departmental budget and forecast for staffing, equipment, materials, supplies, and capital and operating projects funds related to capital and operating projects.
    • Manage all activities between stakeholders, consultants, and contractors in order to deliver projects within scheduled timeframes and budgets
    • Develop and deliver high level impactful presentation and conclusion to senior management and key stakeholders
    • Prepare business development documents, presentations, and briefing. Prepare, evaluate and present robust financial modelling and analysis to value projects and terms
    • Seek ways of improving the way the business operates
    • Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world.

    Operations / Administration / Technical:

    • Direct department projects including setting policies, goals and objectives, determining priorities to meet set objectives.
    • Establish and manage daily activities of team members and operations that support and implements the set goals
    • Assess and monitor workload, administrative and support systems, internal reporting relationships; identifying opportunities for improvement; direct and implement changes.
    • Establish monthly deliverables and work schedules for the team.
    • Ensure policies and procedures comply with current state and federal regulation and also create processes on how the team can be coordinated and project executed successfully.
    • Develop, monitor, and report detailed budgets, schedules, and status on projects while maintaining and updating the senior management
    • Manage all activities between stakeholders, consultants, and contractors in order to deliver projects within scheduled timeframes and budgets
    • Evaluate performance of team members and conduct verbal and written performance evaluations at least weekly in the first month and discretionary moving forward.
    • Manage procurement, logistics, workflow management and propose solution to improve procedures.

    Job Qualifications / Skills

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture from recognized university with minimum of upper credit
    • Master's Degree or MBA is required or in any related course
    • 8-10 years of relevant Industry work experience with four (4) years in a leadership position
    • PMP is an added advantage
    • Must have people Leadership skills
    • Able to demonstrate business acumen
    • Must have strong negotiation skills

    Salary
    N350,000 - N400,000 / Month
