    Accountant

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare budget, review and track Expenses
    • Implementing financial policies and procedures
    • Establish and maintain cash controls
    • Establish, maintain and reconcile the general ledger
    • Monitor cash reserves and investments
    • Prepare and reconcile bank statements
    • Process/execute supplier invoices
    • Prepare income statements & balance sheets
    • Prepare quarterly reports and report on variances
    • Maintain financial files and records including cash book
    • Maintain assets register and safeguard Company’s assets
    • Prepare budget forecasts and Assist with annual audit
    • Publish financial statements in time and Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
    • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable and Ensure timely bank payments
    • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns and Submit VAT filing
    • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
    • Monthly / Quarterly Reports on the company’s financial health and liquidity
    • Audit financial transactions and documents
    • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
    • Minimizing office expenditures
    • Maintain close links and inform the Chief Executive of all issues likely to affect the operation of the Company
    • Carry out general duties as assigned from time to time in all accounting transactions

    Qualifications / Requirements for this role

    • First degree (minimum second class lower) in Accounting or any relevant field.
    • ICAN or it's Equivalent
    • Experience in preparing and presenting financial and budget reports
    • 1-5 years post graduation experience.
    • Knowledgeable and skilled with excel for accounting processes and programming
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
    • Self motivated, good drive and passion for excellence.
