    Junior Accountant

    Department: Finance & Accounts

    Industry: Energy / Renewable Energy / Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS)

    Reports To: Chief Finance Officer(CFO)

    Job Summary

    The Junior Accountant will support the Finance team by assisting with daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in preparing and posting daily financial transactions into the accounting system.
    • Maintain proper documentation for invoices, receipts, payments, and other accounting records.
    • Assist with bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies when necessary.
    • Prepare and update accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
    • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and schedules for management review.
    • Support statutory compliance by assisting with WHT, VAT, and other documentation where applicable.
    • Support internal and external audit processes by providing needed documents and explanations.
    • Ensure compliance with financial policies and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
    • Perform any other accounting duties assigned by the Chief Finance officer(CFO).

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 2–3 years work experience in accounting or finance (NYSC experience is acceptable).
    • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
    • Familiarity with accounting software (Sage) is an advantage.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
    • Good attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
    • Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.

    Work Conditions & Compensation

    • Employment Type: Full-time
    • Salary: ₦200,000 (Monthly)
    • Benefits: HMO, Pension, 13th Month Salary
