    Accounts and Finance Manager

    Summary

    As the Accounts and Finance Manager, you are responsible for the financial health of our company, guiding senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short-term plans. You are able to influence our products pricing, analyse costs and essential resources. You are the ‘Chief Profit Officer’- mastermind of investments and cost reduction for SeamlessHR and can advise management on investment opportunities with your knowledge of performing due diligence for investment opportunities. You also provide innovative tax planning and compliance, review complex income tax returns while identifying and mitigating tax risk.

    Also, you play a significant role in the company's financial strategy forecast and prepare financial reports using accounting principles, best practices, and systems for collecting, analyzing and reporting information as often as required. You have a potential to become the CFO in the nearest future.

    You should have thorough knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines, In-depth knowledge of SeamlessHR diverse business functions, be detail-oriented, familiar with the start-up ecosystem, be driven, articulate, and enjoy working with others in a fun and fast-paced environment.     Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, and other transactions
    • Develop and implement goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and payroll.
    • Supervise and participate in the preparation of various financial statements and reports
    • Mastermind investments and cost reduction for the company and advise management on investment opportunities.
    • Perform due diligence on investment opportunities.
    • Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company.
    • Research and analyse financial reports and market trends.
    • Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
    • Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports.
    • Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings.
    • Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.
    • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
    • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
    • Direct internal audits involving the review of accounting and administrative controls.
    • Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
    • Overall responsibility for operational, transactional and financial accounting up to finalization of balance sheet and P&L on a quarterly and annual basis.
    • Develop best practice financial accounting and control procedures and continually review the process and procedures to maximise impact and efficiency.
    • Interacting with Tax authorities and timely filing of all returns.
    • Review debtors payments balance and ensure timely collection.
    • Preparation of cash flow projections on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis in coordination with the persons and departments concerned.
    • Conduct necessary interaction with the external authorities which may include Government authorities, Direct and indirect tax consultants.

    Qualification and Person Specification

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or related field
    • Proven experience in same or similar role
    • Relevant professional body membership/certification- ACCA, ACA, ICAN or CFA will be an added advantage
    • Advanced computer skills on MS Office and/or Google Office suite
    • Experience using accounting software and databases such as Xero, Sage, etc
    • Good understanding of data privacy standards, and demonstrate integrity and honesty
    • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
    • High attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity and honesty
    • Positive team spirit with ability to balance team and individual responsibilities
    • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and look for ways to improve and promote quality
    • Display great initiative, original thinking and creativity
    • Must be organized, detail-oriented and can work in a fast-paced environment
    • In-depth knowledge of our diverse business functions
