    Special Events Sales Executive

    Location: Alagbado, Lagos
    Working Hours: Working time is normally between 7:30am-5pm Mondays to Fridays and 8:30am-3pm on Saturdays. The bulk of the work for this position will be mostly weekend; Thursday- Sunday.

    Job Summary

    • The Special Events Sales Executive will be responsible for business development, market research, sales prospecting, public relations, customer relationship management, coordination, revenue management, and communications.
    • He/she will also prepare proposals for clients and maintain well-organized event records. Special event sales executive will build and maintain working relationships with internal and external partners, and leverage these relationships to increase sales.
    • He/she acts as the company’s ambassador at convocations, weddings, inter-house sport and other events in Lagos.
    • He/she should achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration by effectively selling the company’s products at different events within Lagos.

    Core Functions

    • Research, analyze, and develop special event profit generating opportunities.
    • Proactively solicit new business by, among other things, making sales calls and presentations, attending local trade shows, and engaging in other client prospecting in order to increase the size of the Organization’s potential client database.
    • Promotes the sale of products at events in Lagos and outside Lagos.
    • Manage and direct all organization events related sales including managing the events calendar, sales exhibitions, and being the primary contact for clients.
    • Create leads and develop long-term relationships in the event promotion communities, and with other relevant companies, organizations, and groups.
    • Obtain feedback from clients following each special event to determine and analyze client satisfaction and organizational performance.
    • Ensure product visibility and availability at events
    • Monitor upcoming events and other big occasion where the company can feature for sales activities.
    • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with event organisers so as to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.
    • Researches sources for ongoing events or program and for information to determine their potential.
    • Escalate customer’s problems and complaint to sales administrators/management
    • Analyses the social events’ sales and marketing potential and determines the value to the organization.
    • Creates and manages a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities.
    • Identifies advantages and compares organization’s products/services.
    • Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the approved events.
    • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
    • Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Person Specification
    The ideal candidate:

    • Must demonstrate high level of self-management
    • Must be computer literate and social media savvy
    • Must be able to drive and possess valid drivers’ license
    • Must have experience in sales of FMCG and must have a strong social network base.
    • Must possess high level of initiative and emotional intelligence; able to think outside the box
    • Sound awareness of emerging and ongoing events within Lagos
    • Must have the ability to handle successfully and effectively assigned responsibility for specific assignments such as sales exhibition, sales awareness campaign etc.
    • Must be sociable and outgoing
    • Must have good knowledge of Lagos metropolises
    • Must have strong interpersonal skills; can effectively communicate and relate to all levels within and outside the organization; creates and builds positive and productive relationships.
    • Must have ability to manage appropriate steps to get projects completed; has strong abilities to organize people and processes; can create a plan for resourceful workflow.
    • Must be detail Oriented.
    • Must have the ability to work independently

    Education and other Qualification

    • Applicant should have HND/Degree in any field preferably social science
    • Applicant must have 1-3 years’ experience in selling confectionary product; FMCG.
    • Applicant must be computer literate: Excel, MS Word, Power Point
    • Applicant must be willing to travel on short notice
    • Applicant who resides within Ikeja, Agege, Ipaja, Otta, Alagbado and environs will have added advantage.

    Remunerations
    The position comes with attractive base salary and commission.
