    DevOps Engineer

    Details:

    About the Role – You will:

    • Assist in development and test equipment setup/distribution.
    • Assist with OS installation, VMWare, Physical Servers, and docker containers.
    • Work with senior team members to drive projects to completion
    • Interface with other engineering teams.

    About You

    • You have five or more years’ worth of experience building tools, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering processes that make your dev teams moreefficient.
    • You will have the ability to drive projects to completion.
    • You are a self-starter; able to research answers on your own.
    • You have excellent problem-solving skills.
    • You are willing to learn.
    • You want to be a member of a team where you can make an  impact  on  Day 1, 2, 3, and beyond with your contributions
    • You love bringing teams together and have a passion to help engineers learn and grow from your experience as well as learn from theirs

    Primary Responsibility

    • Provide DevOps support to newly developed software solutions on private environments
    • Perform installations of software components on controlled machines networks and cloud environments
    • Monitor previously installed software on a regular basis to ensure software is functioning properly
    • Deploy new releases, updates, and patches
    • Automate, test, and implement software systems
    • Maintain and optimize deployed solutions
    • Perform code merges and assist in resolving related issues
    • Assist in the resolution of code merge, build, release, and deployment issues
    • Setup and maintain application runtime environments (application   servers, middleware, deployment tools, etc.)
    • Automating and orchestrating workloads across private (public cloud) environments; automation
    • experience with configuration/deployment management systems such  as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, AWS Cloud, etc.
    • Experience working with atleast one of the following languages: Node.js, Java, Ruby and Python and also
    • proficient with Git and Git workflows.
    • Experience with using CI and CD tools to automate builds, testing and deployments using tools
    • like Jenkins, Team City, etc.
    • Experience working in an Agile DevOps environment.
    • First point of contact for handling issues, providing guidance and   recommendations to increase
    • efficiency
    • Experience setting up a DevOps environment end to end
    • Experience with Linux and scripting
    • Support efforts to improve our system reliability and maintainability
    • Adds value to team delivery and works with the team to complete   tasks to a high standard of quality while actively learning new skills
    • Working knowledge of databases and SQL

    Preferred Qualifications and Skills

    • Automation and Deployment tools (Jenkins, GIT, Team City, Circle CI)
    • Container management and deployment (Docker)
    • Configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef)
    • Cloud hosting experience
    • Infrastructure as Code (Cloud formation)
    • Application Performance Monitoring (DynaTrace or similar).
    • IBM WebSphere Commerce
    • Good knowledge of LDAP concepts and experience working with a  LDAP Directory.
