    Workshop Supervisor (CAT / Komatsu / SEM / Volvo / Dressta)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of workshop staff to ensure smooth workflow and productivity.
    • Monitor workshop operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
    • Plan and allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
    • Provide training and support to staff to enhance skills and improve performance.
    • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to prevent downtime.
    • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment

    Requirements

    • HND or B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of proven experience as a workshop supervisor or similar position.
    • Good Communication Skills (both in writing and verbal communication)
    • Ability to assist the workshop Manager in ensuring Preventive Maintenance of Trucks (HOWO Trucks, Komatsu, Volvo, Dressta,Man Diesel Trucks and Dressta)
    • Robust Leadership quality
    • Ability to manage a team of Mechanics and Auto-Technician and Vulcanizer
    • Knowledge of engines, pumps, Swing Gear Box, Final Drive Repairs and Hydraulic Components.
    • Good Safety Awareness
    • Good inventory management
    • Candidates living in close proximity to Kaduna State and its environs are preferred.

    Mechanical Shift Engineer (Excavator, Tipper, Payloader)

    Job Summary

    • The Mechanical Shift Engineer will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of heavy equipment and machinery used in mining operations, including tippers, excavators., payloaders and mine trucks
    • This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of mining activities by minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring that all machinery is in optimal working condition.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform repairs, maintenance, and servicing of mining equipment such as tippers, excavators, payloaders mine truck and other heavy machinery.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in mining equipment.
    • Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out on equipment to reduce the risk of breakdowns.
    • Use a variety of maintenance tools and equipment, including wrenches, diagnostic devices, and other specialized tools for heavy machinery.

    Requirements

    • Candidate should possess an HND / Bachelor's Degree.
    • Proven 3 - 5 years experience as a mechanic, specifically in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and machinery used in mining (tippers, excavators, etc.).
    • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems related to mining machinery.
    • Proficiency in the use of maintenance and diagnostic tools.
    • Ability to weld is an added advantage.
