    State Clinical Mentor

    Background

    • The National AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Infections Control and Hepatitis Programme (NASCP) is a division of the Department of Public Health in the Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH).
    • Its mandate is to coordinate the formulation and effective implementation of the Nigerian government policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures for the prevention of new HIV infections as well as improve on the existing treatment, care, and support for those persons already infected and affected by the virus in the country.
    • In collaboration with the USG, NASCP is implementing the first phase of National Clinical Mentoring in the HIV programme in 19 Nigerian States for improved HIV service delivery.

    Job Summary

    • The candidate must be domiciled in the state and be conversant with the terrain. S/He is expected to build the capacity of frontline Healthcare workers to provide quality HIV clinical services offered as part of a comprehensive package of care in both public and private facilities as well as in communities.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide on-site clinical training to healthcare workers on HIV treatment according to the national guidelines, including adult and pediatric ART and the treatment of tuberculosis and other opportunistic diseases.
    • Provide training through clinical consultation, assisting local healthcare workers in identifying key bottlenecks affecting patients’ access to antiretroviral therapy (ART) and helping them with direct patient care as needed.
    • Provide continuous medical education (CME), which may include didactic training sessions for health professionals, as needed. All training will be in accordance with the national guidelines.
    • Provide health worker capacity-building sessions using various methodologies (including use of project ECHO, and low bandwidth video conferencing).
    • Assist as requested with facilitating sessions on the weekly ECHO video-conferencing sessions with health workers from various sites in the states
    • Develop standard operating procedures for the provision of HIV clinical care at the health facility in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders. This may include troubleshooting problems with the patient flow, tracking defaulters, or clarifying referral pathways by developing appropriate algorithms.
    • Submit a monthly report on training and technical assistance activities, as well as findings and recommendations for strengthening services in the health facility and compliance with the national treatment guidelines.
    • Perform other duties related to clinical mentoring as assigned.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • Must possess a Degree in Medical Sciences (MBBS or equivalent). Postgraduate qualification/master’s level training in Public Health, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Obstetrics will be an advantage.
    • Must be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
    • At least 2-3 years’ experience with clinical HIV and AIDS care, including the provision of antiretroviral therapy (ART)
    • Must have at least 2 years’ experience with program planning, assessment, and implementation of HIV clinical care programs. Experience in the provision of HIV clinical training
    • Previous experience in HIV-related operational research is an advantage.
    • Good knowledge of current trends (national and international) in HIV clinical care and service delivery
    • Experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary HIV clinical teams for effective service delivery.

    Certified Trainer

    Job Summary

    Key Responsibilities
    Course Design and Planning:

    • Develop comprehensive lesson plans and curriculum specific to each training program.
    • Design effective training materials, including presentations, manuals, and hands-on exercises.

    Delivery of Training:

    • Conduct interactive and engaging training sessions aligned with the curriculum.
    • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and experience levels.
    • Manage both physical and virtual classrooms to maintain an effective learning atmosphere.

    Assessment and Evaluation:

    • Conduct regular assessments of participant progress through tests, quizzes, and practical evaluations.
    • Provide constructive feedback to encourage participant improvement.
    • Maintain accurate training records, including attendance and performance data.

    Reporting:

    • Submit weekly and monthly reports on participant progress to the program coordinator.
    • Identify areas where participants may require additional support or resources.

    Other Duties:

    • Participate in project team meetings to discuss and improve training strategies.
    • Recommend curriculum updates in response to changes in technology or industry practices.
    • Ensure training sessions align with the overall goals and objectives of the organization.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • Certified Trainers with Microsoft and other top Vendors
    • Proven expertise in the relevant training domain.
    • Prior experience in teaching or training in data Analytics and AI.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to design engaging, hands-on learning experiences.

    Audit Officer

    Job Description

    • The incumbent will be responsible for the financial, Risk management aspects of Global Fund (GF program including the responsibility of enforcing compliance with budget, work plan and ECEWS financial guidelines and policies, participating in stocktaking activities and on-the-spot checks.
    • Enforce transparency of operations and reporting all exceptions to stakeholders and management; affirming or otherwise to the reliability of financial and operational reporting; tracking audit trail and Provide feedback regarding the accuracy of the financial reports, monitoring internal controls and financial systems and ensuring reliability.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • BS / BA Degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent
    • CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIA, CIMA, CFE or any other relevant professional qualification is an added advantage.
    • 2-5 years relevant experience
    • Up to 2-4 years’ experience in internal control functions
    • Knowledge of IIA’s International Professional Practices Framework is an advantage.
    • Knowledge of local and donor contractual requirements and regulations Knowledge of generally accepted accounting, budgeting and fiscal control theory and practices.
    • Budget development skills with multi funding sources and general ledger skills.
    • Relevant software skills to include automated accounting software and database spreadsheets and Management Information Systems.
    • Ability to work with others and to develop and maintain compatibility among project staff, subcontractors, and recipients of assistance.
    • Ability to report to supervisor on a regular basis.
    • Time management skills, both in planning and organizing work to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to effectively communicate financial and internal control issues to staff with little or no financial background.
    • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
    • Ability to use software tools to present data clearly and concisely.
    • Fluent English speaker with superior spoken and written communications; candidate must be comfortable speaking in front of large audiences.
