The Role

As an Accounting Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records. You will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing accurate financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• General Ledger Management: Oversee accounts payable/receivable and perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Tax Compliance: Manage tax filings, including VAT, WHT, and CIT, ensuring full compliance with local tax laws.
• Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monitor variances.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certification: Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN).
• Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of professional experience specifically within the Finance Sector (Banking, Insurance, Fintech, or Investment firms).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Competencies: Strong analytical thinking, high ethical standards, and a keen eye for detail.
