    Outside Plant Maintenance Supervisor

    Job Summary:

    • The Outside Plant (OSP) Supervisor oversees maintenance of ipNX fiber optic & civil work activities on the outside plant network.
    • The OSP Supervisor will be involved in the day -to- day maintenance and management of the outside plant, taking into consideration customer and Local authority organizations in the maintenance of the fiber outside plant. The role is expected to involve a significant element of on -site attendance. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Corporate Customers: Restore service failures within 3hours of its occurrence Implementation and integration of new projects and ensure all open incident tickets are closed within this timeframe.
    • Retail Customers: Restore service failures within 12 hours of its occurrence.
    • Incident Management Communication: Provide prompt feedback for input into the OTRS application with information relating to activities being carried out to resolve customer service incidents.
    • Proactively identify, plan and execute preventive maintenance action on the fibre network.
    • Audit and collate information for the fiber outside plant network. Prepare the as maintained documents within region/sub-region managed for the O &M Unit.
    • Ensure weekly support status reports are done and submitted timely for review
    • Activate FOS Customer requests within 3 days of sign up.Sign-off the Customer Feedback Form, prepare and submit post-activation report.

    Qualifications/Experience:

    • University Degree in Telecoms, Engineering or Applied Sciences.
    • At least 2 years in telecommunications industry, with experience in Fiber network deployments. and outside plant maintenance.
    • Experience in civil works supervision & quality control.
    • Experience in processing ROW License with Local Authorities/State Regulatory Agencies.
    • User experience for Microsoft Office Tools including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
    • User experience for Visio/AutoCAD/GIS tools is desired.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to solve complex problems in the shortest available time using honed analytical skills.
    • Good interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, team members and local community
    • Proven track records of maintenance and management of metro and/or long-distance fibre optic infrastructure.
    • Sound knowledge of telecom industry best practices, norms and technical requirements with regard to fibre & civil work maintenance.
    • FTTx and/or P2P fibre deployment and maintenance experience are distinct advantages i.e. fibre termination using fusion splice machines, testing & analyzing fibre links with OTDR and Light Source/Power Meters (LSPM), identifying fibre cores with VFLs.
    • Capable of understanding fibre network architectures, designs & splice plans.
    • An inherent culture of documenting concise and accurate “As-Is” status of network elements and splice configuration, in a consistent manner.
    • Familiarity with the requirements of Health & Safety legislation in Nigeria.

    Network Service Delivery & Support Engineer (PH)

    Purpose of the Job

    • Reporting to the Team Lead West, Network Core & Service Delivery, the Service Fulfilment Engineer is responsible for deploying carrier grade and reliable network infrastructure and services for ipNX enterprise customers in accordance with set SLAs.

    Expected Key Results

    • Install, configure, optimize and maintain network connectivity infrastructure & systems for the ipNX network as well as for enterprise customers as per agreed set standards and SLAs.
    • Safeguard performance, capacity, availability (>99.9%) and quality of the ipNX network by monitoring emerging incidents and initiating preventive actions.
    • Recommend areas of improvements, product enhancements including new platforms, features and services that meet present and future needs of the voice communications business.
    • Offer pre-sales support and provide accompanying proposals and design documents with the most optimal and cost effective solutions that meets the business objectives.
    • Provide remote and occasional on-site support for all enterprise network deployments where required.

    Educational Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or any IT related degree. (2.1/ Upper Credit Minimum)

    Functional Skills

    • At least 3 years experience within the telecoms space as a Network/Communications Engineer
    • A good understanding of computer networks as well as some aspects of project management (Cisco Certification | PMP is a bonus)
    • A good grasp of technical (wireless & wireline) installations and willingness to learn more
    • Practical Experience with Network Connectivity Devices (Routers & Switches)
    • Experience with LAN/WAN Network Design and Configuration
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite [including MS Project & Visio]

    Work Experience

    • At least 3-5 years experience in telecommunications industry.

    Credit Control Officer

    Job Summary:

    • The Credit Control Officer ensures that enterprise customers are billed promptly based on their respective SLA, while keeping accurate record for all links and update the ESFS and Billing system. He/She resolves queries arising from billing activities and generates reports as required.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Ensure timely and accurate submission of invoices in accordance with the billing process
    • Resolve and escalate, when necessary, all issues delaying invoicing
    • Computes and generate credit note as maybe required
    • Ensure that client list/database is accurate and up to date
    • Ensure all correspondence are well kept on Freeside and EDRM as required
    • Ensure weekly processing of invoices on Freeside for posting into SUN-System
    • Generate billing reports and other analysis such as new sales and lost business report
    • Attend to service code request on ESFS
    • Generate other reports as required.
    • Resolve issues and attend to requests within stipulated time.
    • Must promptly escalate issues that cannot be handled to the supervisor
    • Identify and escalate priority issues observed immediately

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • HND/B.sc in Social Sciences or related discipline
    • 1 years’ experience in a fast-paced office environment
    • Customer Relations, Book-keeping, Office Management, Human Relations (Any other Human Related) in Telecoms company
