    Quality Control Superintendent

    Department: QC/HSE

    Job Summary:

    The Quality Control (QC) Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all quality control activities in a plastic manufacturing facility. This role ensures that products meet customer and regulatory requirements by implementing effective quality systems, managing quality control personnel, and driving continuous improvement across production processes. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of plastic manufacturing methods such as injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, or thermoforming.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise Quality Control Operations:
      • Manage daily QC operations, including incoming raw material inspection, in-process checks, and final product quality audits.
      • Lead and mentor QC technicians and inspectors.
    • Ensure Compliance:
      • Maintain compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, FDA, ASTM) and customer specifications.
      • Monitor and ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
    • Quality Systems Management:
      • Develop and maintain quality documentation (SOPs, work instructions, control plans).
      • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
      • Conduct regular audits and assessments of processes and products.
    • Process Improvement:
      • Identify process inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, 5S, or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
      • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize quality and reduce waste/scrap.
    • Reporting & Metrics:
      • Prepare quality performance reports and dashboards.
      • Analyze data to track trends, non-conformances, and drive decision-making.
    • Customer & Supplier Interaction:
      • Address customer complaints and lead investigations for product returns or quality issues.
      • Work with suppliers to resolve quality concerns with raw materials.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or related field.
    • 3–5 years of experience in quality control within the plastics manufacturing industry.
    • Strong knowledge of plastic processing techniques (injection molding, extrusion, etc.).
    • Proficient in using quality tools: SPC, FMEA, MSA, PPAP, and control charts.
    • Experience with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 standards.
    • Familiarity with ERP systems and quality management software.
    • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

    Internal Control/Audit Officer

    Location: Elele, Rivers State
    Department: Internal Audit / Compliance

    Job Summary:

    The Internal Control Officer is responsible for evaluating, improving, and monitoring internal control systems and processes across agricultural operations. This role ensures compliance with company policies, financial standards, and regulatory requirements. The position focuses on identifying risks, safeguarding assets, and ensuring operational efficiency across various aspects of the agricultural value chain such as crop production, livestock, input distribution, logistics, and agribusiness operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Internal Controls & Risk Assessment:
      • Design, implement, and monitor internal control systems across all departments.
      • Assess risks in operational, financial, and compliance areas related to farming, procurement, warehousing, and distribution.
    • Audit Planning & Execution:
      • Conduct routine and ad hoc audits of processes, records, and assets, including farm sites, inventory locations, and financial transactions.
      • Review accounting procedures, procurement practices, payroll systems, and field operations.
    • Compliance Monitoring:
      • Ensure compliance with internal policies, donor guidelines (if applicable), and regulatory standards including environmental, labor, and safety laws.
      • Verify proper documentation and approvals for all transactions.
    • Fraud Prevention & Investigation:
      • Identify indicators of fraud or mismanagement and lead investigations as needed.
      • Recommend appropriate corrective actions and follow up to ensure resolution.
    • Reporting & Documentation:
      • Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, risk ratings, and recommendations.
      • Present reports to senior management with actionable insights and suggested improvements.
    • Continuous Improvement:
      • Collaborate with department heads to enhance operational efficiency and financial transparency.
      • Promote best practices in internal controls and risk management.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
    • 3–5 years of experience in internal control, audit, or compliance roles, preferably in the agriculture or agro-processing sector.
    • Strong understanding of agricultural operations, input financing, farm-to-market logistics, and commodity value chains.
    • Solid knowledge of internal auditing standards and financial controls.
    • Proficiency in audit tools, ERP/accounting systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Preferred Skills & Certifications:

    • ACA, ACCA, or CIA certification (partly or fully qualified) is an advantage.
    • Experience with donor-funded agribusiness programs (e.g., USAID, IFAD, FAO) is a plus.
    • Ability to travel to rural locations and farm sites.
    • High integrity, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
