    Monitoring and Evaluation Team Lead

    Job Description

    • Based in Mubi, the MEL Team Leader is responsible for supporting data collection and the implementation/use of quality checklists (WASH, Food Security and Livelihoods, Education, Shelter, Information Counselling and Legal Assistance, Camp management) at the activity level. The position also serves as a supervisor for MEL Assistant and CFM Assistant when needed. The incumbent will provide support in analyzing raw data from assessments, quality checklists, reporting, and providing direct support to implementation of Monitoring & Evaluation activities at Mubi. The position will be supported by the MEL Coordinator but reports to the Field Office Coordinator.

    Responsibilities
    Generic responsibilities

    • Ensure NRC policies, handbooks, procedures, and SOPs/guidelines are adhered to.
    • Line management of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Assistant and Community Feedback Mechanism Assistant
    • Support the timely implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning activities
    • Ensure compliance with NRC policies, guidelines and standards.
    • Responsible for implementation of operational M&E activities in close collaboration with Core Competency technical officers and officers/assistants.
    • Ensure project documentation of M&E activities of Core Competencies.
    • Contribute to the implementation of M&E systems, including M&E tools.
    • Ensure that NRC’s related activities are implemented within NRC’s SIP (Safe and Inclusive Programming) Guideline and report any breaches/concerns to the line manager and/or focal point for proper action.

    Specific Responsibilities

    • Support in developing data collection methodology and tools, and in actual data collection as needed.
    • Support the digitalization of data collection tools and electronic warehousing of data
    • Support data management in close collaboration with core competencies’ data assistants and the development of clear information flows between program and M&E staff, as needed.
    • Ensure that monitoring data is reported in a timely manner to the technical M&E Coordinator for quality checks and submission to the Program Managers and relevant program staff.
    • Support the targeting and the registration of beneficiaries as needed.
    • Supervise distributions in collaboration with programme staff.
    • Support post distribution monitoring and related activities.

    Qualifications

    • At least 3 years’ experience in an international NGO preferably in an emergency or post-conflict setting.
    • Experience with and knowledge of principles and current approaches to monitoring and evaluation in relief and development programs, using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
    • Computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, outlook).
    • Knowledge of project cycle management

    Qualifications

    Role and Responsibilities

    • The Logistics Intern will support the logistics operations for NRC’s Area Office in Adamawa State, Nigeria. S/he will assist in ensuring the timely procurement, storage, and distribution of materials and supplies to support NRC Nigeria’s programs in the area. The intern will help ensure that all logistics activities comply with quality, safety, and compliance standards while assisting in resource optimization and cost management. The Logistics Intern will also support Project Managers and other staff in coordinating transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and logistical documentation.

    Generic Responsibilities:

    • Assist the warehouse team in ensuring smooth operations and contribute to capacity-building efforts under the supervision of senior logistics staff.

    • Support the supplier pre-qualification process and conduct market surveys to identify suitable suppliers.

    Fleet Management Support:

    • Assist in tracking and managing vehicles, ensuring they are properly utilized for area office activities.
    • Support vehicle servicing, maintenance, and fueling as per schedules.
    • Ensure vehicles have valid and up-to-date documentation.
    • Assist in managing travel requests and keeping the Staff Movement Board updated.

    Stock Management and Inventory Support:

    • Assist in periodic cycle counts to ensure adherence to stock management systems.
    • Support year-end stock inventories and assist in preparing inventory reports.

    • Support storekeepers with their daily tasks and reporting functions.

    Warehouse Operations Support:
