Job Summary

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Motion Graphics Designer / Animator Intern.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the creation of high-quality motion graphics, animations, and dynamic visual content for digital platforms. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong creative potential and a passion for translating ideas into engaging visual stories through motion and design.

While motion design is the primary focus, the role also involves creating supporting static visual assets that complement animation projects and broader brand communication.

The intern will work closely with the web development team, digital marketers, and other creatives to execute concepts, campaign strategies, and brand guidelines effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing motion graphics and animations for digital campaigns, social media, and multimedia projects.
• Interpret concepts and storyboards into engaging animated visuals.
• Support the production of video content, including animated ads, explainer videos, and promotional materials.
• Create supporting static designs such as social media graphics, thumbnails, and banners where required.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment with brand identity and project objectives.
• Utilize tools such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and other relevant software in content production.
• Stay updated with emerging trends, tools, and techniques in motion design and animation.

Requirements

• Minimum of HND or B.Sc. in Graphic Design, Animation, Fine Arts, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• Must have completed NYSC or possess a valid exemption certificate.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in motion graphics, animation, or related creative roles (including internships, freelance work, or personal projects).
• A strong portfolio showcasing motion graphics, animation, and video-based projects, with supporting graphic design work as an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, with working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Basic to intermediate understanding of 2D animation principles; exposure to 3D tools (Cinema 4D, Blender, etc.) is an added advantage.
• Understanding of visual storytelling, timing, and composition.
• Ability to learn quickly, take feedback positively, and improve creative output.
• Must be resident within or close to the Shasha/Egbeda axis of Alimosho, Lagos, or willing to commute daily.
