    Senior Manager -Core Operations

    Mission:

    • To lead the MTN Nigeria Network Services in operations and maintenance of the Core Network, in line with MTN’s strategic business objectives, ensuring MTN’s quality and service commitment to our subscribers.

    Description:

    • Develop annual budgetary plan for network service (OPEX and CAPEX).
    • Manage and ensure MTN core network is operated and maintained in adherence to policies and procedures of MTNN.
    • Oversight of integration of network systems into the operational network.
    • Oversee fault management and resolution of core network systems to ensure network performance and quality of service.
    • Develop strategies and operational processes and procedures for the management of network services operations.
    • Manage various suppliers/vendors to ensure adherence to service level agreements.
    • Develop implementation strategies for network services operations.
    • Support Network Division drive for continuous improvement of MTNN’s Net Promoter Score 
    • Coach and mentor team members to ensure understanding of the objectives and goals of the team/Unit, awareness of all related job requirements and accountabilities and leverage human resources career development programs for staff career development.
    • Identify, evaluate and track the development needs and performance of the team, providing opportunities for staff to build on the company’s investment in their training and improve productivity.
    • Review the performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.
    • Identify training requirements of team members and develop program to address knowledge gaps. 
    • Lead in the development of new processes and improvement of existing ones as appropriate.

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic or Communications Engineering or related filed is required.
    • Fluent in English and language of country preferable

    Experience:

    9 - 17 years’ experience which includes:

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with experience in supervising/managing others
    • Experience working in a medium to large organization.

    Senior Manager - Network Services Management Centre

    Mission:

    • Adequate management of the Network infrastructure in MTN Nigeria by ensuring network automation, faults and changes are effectively managed and serve as the focal point in providing 24hrs/7days operational support to MTN Nigeria network. Also, Interface and incorporate product requirements into the architecture design and operational systems, assessing network capacity and performance requirements and developing operational support processes.

    Description:

    • Review the performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.
    • Coach and train the Network Operations team to ensure understanding of the objectives and goals of the department, awareness of set targets/requirements and regularly review their training needs.
    • Ensure prompt identification of problems in the network and response to customer complaints, escalating faults to the relevant departments.
    • Responsible and Manage Network Problem and Change Management governance Board and ensure that resources both material and human are available for all planned network expansions to take place as scheduled.
    • Drive and promote performance improvement through operational excellence and efficiency and coordinating performance improvement initiatives. 
    • Managing and Support MTN Enterprise Market (consists of Corporate and SME customers) with focus on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) business enabling solutions delivery to the nationwide market
    • Monitor the overall efficiency of the network using performance management tools and provide technical status reports to different target groups.

    • Initiate and implement ideas on software tools and improvements to operational procedures, policies, network management and NSMC functionality.
    • Adopt new network management processes according to best practice to suit MTNN’s business strategy.
    • Observe with oversight the development and continual improvement for the Network Services Management Center (NSMC) and Managed Services Team.
    • Establish and maintain well defined and effective communication channels among the team (NSMC), internal and external stakeholders/customers, providing accurate reporting of vendor service levels.

    • Manager track record of 3 years or more; with at least 3 years in relevant sector/ industry 
    • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies advantageous.
    • Six (6) years hands-on experience in telecommunications, tele–traffic environment and customer relations.
    • Experience and comprehension of Telecommunications management network philosophy and practice.

    Senior Manager - Change Management

    Reports To: General Manager - Financial Integrity

    Division: Finance

    Mission:

    The Senior Manager, Change Management in the Business Assurance team is responsible for leading and coordinating change initiatives-particularly those driven by IT and Network-that impact MTN Nigeria's revenues, costs, margins and customer experience. The role ensures that such changes are well-governed, risk-informed, and successfully embedded across the business to safeguard financial integrity and enhance operational performance. Key aspects of this role include:

    • Driving cross-functional change management for enterprise-wide projects, ensuring financial and operational impacts are identified, assessed, and mitigated.
    • Collaborating with IT, Network, Commercial, and Finance teams to embed risk controls and ensure changes are aligned with strategic objectives.
    • Ensuring business readiness through structured stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and post-implementation monitoring.

    Description:

    • Drive change initiatives that support the assurance of revenue, prevention of leakage, and improved return on technology and network investments.
    • Collaborate in cross-functional reviews of business processes and change projects to identify control enhancements and operational efficiencies, targeting measurable cost savings and improved financial outcomes.
    • Provide risk and control insights during contract and vendor reviews, ensuring that financial impacts are well understood, and MTN’s value creation philosophy is upheld.
    • Lead the risk assessment and control integration for enterprise-wide changes, especially those involving IT and Network systems, to ensure financial and operational risks are identified, prioritized, and mitigated during planning and execution.
    • Serve as the key Business Assurance representative in change governance forums, providing control and risk insights during the design and rollout of new systems, products, or platforms to prevent revenue leakage and operational disruption.
    • Continuously review and enhance internal policies, processes, and procedures to ensure changes are aligned with best practices, evolving business needs, and MTN Nigeria’s commitment to financial integrity and margin protection.
    • Support the GM in defining a transformation roadmap for Business Assurance, with clear milestones that strengthen cross-functional collaboration, embed ownership of controls, and promote a culture of risk-aware execution.
    • Collaborate with other business units in the development of business models for use in MTNN and develop measurement strategies to support ongoing strategy development and project optimization.
    • Review the performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.
    • Coach and train Revenue Assurance team to ensure understanding of the objectives and goals of the department, awareness of set targets/requirements and regularly review their training needs.

    Education:

    • First degree in Data Analytics/Engineering/Accounting/Finance/Audit/Numerate Disciplines
    • Advantageous–Post Graduate Qualification – CISA/CISM/CRISK/MBA/ACA/ACCA/Fraud Certification (CFE).
    • Advantageous–Previous telecom/banking fraud experience.
    • Fluent in English

    Experience:

    9 - 17 years’ work experience which includes the following:

    • At least 5 years in a Fraud Management role in a global telecommunications company.
    • At least 5 years in relevant sector/ industry relevant role, i.e. banking, finance, technology.
    • Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise with experience working in emerging markets.
    • At least 2 years of experience in systems audit and/or advisory organizations.
    • Proven track record of technology transformation involvement and part of the delivery team.
