    Hospital Food Service Assistant

    Job Summary

    • Responsible for preparing and serving food to patients and staff
    • Clean plates and service areas and ensure food safety

    Job Description

    • Part of food preparation. Chop vegetables, assemble salads, bake goods, and prepare other basic foods
    • Serves meals to patients, staff and other clients
    • Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
    • Clean work areas, tables, cabinets and ovens etc
    • Collect and place garbage and trash in designated containers
    • Prepare meals and beverages according to established recipes, portion sizes and dietary guidelines
    • Check and confirm production orders, place items on trays and examine trays for completeness.
    • Serves trays to patients using available push carts
