Job Description

•  Assist to develop and maintain patient menus based on dietary restrictions, medical needs and nutritional guidelines provided by dieticians
• Cook a variety of meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner, ensuring proper portion, sizes and presentation
• Prepare and cook food to the highest standards of quality, presentation and safety
• Food Service: Serve food to patients, staff, and visitors in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Accurately follow special dietary instructions for patients with allergies, diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease etc
• Order and ,maintain inventory of fresh ingredients, ensuring proper storage and rotation to prevent waste, control food costs
• Maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment, including managing inventory, controlling food costs, and supervising kitchen staff.
• Dietary Requirements: Ensure that all food prepared meets the dietary requirements of patients, including special diets and allergies.
• Quality Control: Monitor and control the quality of food prepared and served
• Support the company's efforts to provide exceptional patient care and service via by following dietary instructions
• Ensure consistent delivery of quality care to ensure patient loyalty

Requirements

• First Degree in Culinary Arts or related field (post graduate degree is an added advantage
• Experience in a healthcare food services setting preferred
