    Lead Store Clerk

    This position helps prepare the way for the work of salvation and exaltation by fostering an environment of reverence and respect and helps customers to make informed product decisions. This position is a Lead level clerk that works under minimal supervision supporting a supervisor in a store with at least 3 FTE; or acts as an operational leader in a store without an on-site supervisor and less than 2 FTE. Has people management and CAP responsibilities as assigned by local or area leadership. This job may include a variety of additional MMD Support Services duties of equal or lesser complexity. The incumbent of this role must be endowed and hold a current recommend.

    Responsibilities

    • Directs all store operations for a small store or supports a supervisor 2 where applicable
    • Acts in a leadership capacity, assigning and directing the work of other staff members, and provides training and development for the store’s staff
    • Provides feedback and coaching to employees
    • Helps prepare staff members’ weekly schedules and assignment of daily tasks
    • Greets customers and ascertains customers’ needs
    • Provides high-quality customer service, providing product knowledge to assist customers, and assists in motivating others to do the same
    • Develops understanding of contents and/or properties of all products to adequately serve customers
    • Responds to customer questions regarding curriculum, proper fitting of clothing or issues of similar complexity, and interests with customers to resolve concerns of moderate to high complexity
    • May provide personal fitting consultation to customers at distribution store
    • Operates point-of-sale terminal, finalizes sale of selected products, processes returns, and manages register opening and closing process
    • Oversees or assists store supervisor (if applicable) to ensure the store is attractively displayed, well-presented, and that there is adequate inventory on the shelf
    • Oversees or supports all aspects of inventory receiving and counting, assures the inventory on the floor is adequate to meet customer needs, and assists in ordering and replenishment to ensure proper stock levels
    • Maintains awareness of and helps with the attainment of key performance indicators, including: inventory goals, expense goals, sales indicators , and exceptional customer service
    • May provide back-up support on behalf of store supervisor during absence, or when needed, which may include timekeeping duties
    • May perform and/or oversee housekeeping duties to ensure facility, equipment, and storage areas are in good condition
    • Requires to work as scheduled and needed (including Saturdays and national/local holidays)
    • This job may include a variety of additional MMD Support Services duties of equal or lesser complexity

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Degree, HND, or associate degree education in business, retailing, merchandising or related field, and three years' experience in business, retail, customer service or equivalent combination of education and experience, including managing teams
    • Functional understanding of computer applications, including: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, or related programs
    • Proficient use of point-of-sale systems and terminology, and ability to troubleshoot basic technical systems and tools
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Ability to lead, delegate, and direct the work of others, and to effectively addressing difficult issues
    • Ability to handle record keeping and re-ordering systems

    Preferred

    • Previous experience leading others in a retail setting.

    Admin Assistant I

    The purpose of this role is to assist in the work of salvation and exaltation by providing individual contributor, entry level administrative support to one or more leader and/or one or more functional team or work group.

    Employees at this level work under direct supervision and handle basic issues and problems that require beginning to working administrative support knowledge.

    Responsibilities

    Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Preparing memos, documents, reports, spreadsheets (including charts and graphs), and presentations using a wide range of software and platforms.
    • Collecting data and compiling information, maintaining accurate student enrollment, attendance, and completion records and using computer software to perform data entry, student registration and generate reports.
    • Taking meeting minutes
    • Using computer apps and software to schedule meetings and appointments and maintain calendars.
    • Answering and screening telephone calls - forwards calls and takes messages as needed and resolving routine and some complex inquiries.
    • Receiving and sorting mail and correspondence
    • Operating standard office equipment such as copy machines
    • Ordering office supplies
    • Maintaining office files
    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree , Associate Degree or HND in Secretaryship & Management Studies, business administration or a related field.
    • 3+ years related experience or equivalent combination of both education and experience.

    Key Skills Include The Ability To

    • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally in writing and verbally effectively with priesthood leaders, parents, and students and other customers.
    • Utilize Microsoft Office and other software at a developing level to schedule appointments, modify spreadsheets, and update word documents.
    • Operate and maintain standard office equipment.
    • Problem solve and resolve basic conflict and problems
    • Organize and prioritize work and needs
    • Understand and follow instructions
    • Interact and work with others in a productive and professional way.
    • Work with discretion, confidentiality, and integrity
