Responsibilities

• Follow recipes so as to bake different types of bread and pastries
• Measure and combine the right ingredients using mixers and blenders.
• Heat ovens to the right temperatures.
• Pour batter into bread trays or tins, and place them in preheated ovens.
• Keep a constant check on baking bread in order to ensure that it does not burn.
• Take baked bread out of the oven and place it on cooling racks.
• Remove baked bread from tins after it has cooled down.
• Pack cooled bread in plastic or paper wraps in order to present it properly.
• Test bread batches to ensure high quality in taste.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an SSCE qualification with 0 - 2 years experience.
• Must be open minded, hardworking and ready to learn.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Team spirit and self motivated.
• Must pay attention to details.

• Assist with the development of new designs and recipes
• Testing and tasting of recipes
• Properly following each recipe to company specifications
• Measurement and mixing of ingredients
• Regulation of cooking temperatures
• Replenishing station as needed
• Notifying Pastry Chef for low inventory items
• Setting time cycles for products
• Assist in organizing all areas of the kitchen, maintain deliveries and cleanliness of areas
• Working knowledge of all pastry assistant functions in the kitchen
• Station maintenance and cleanliness
• Adhere to standard “zoning” procedures
• Follow strict health and hygiene standards
• Safely and efficiently use kitchen tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the administration of floor staff / security
• Marketing and Improvement of sales in whatever shelf you are assigned to cater for.
• Appropriate and timely display of products meant for sale on your assigned units
• Compilation and timely submission of a list of goods becoming due for restocking, this should be when stocks are not enough for two 2 weeks of sales.
• Report of Goods that have less than 6 weeks to expire on your assigned shelf.
• Any other duties that may be assigned by your Supervisor.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a minimum of an SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification with 1+ years of relevant work experience.
• Proximity is key.
