    Hotel Supervisor

    Job Summary

    • The Hotel Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring that all departments function efficiently and provide exceptional service to guests.
    • This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of hotel management practices.
    • The ideal candidate will be proactive in addressing guest needs, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of hospitality.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, and food services, to ensure seamless operations.
    • Monitor room availability, occupancy levels, and rates to optimize hotel revenue.
    • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to maintain cleanliness and adherence to hotel standards.
    • Train, mentor, and evaluate hotel staff to enhance performance and service quality.
    • Create work schedules and delegate tasks effectively among team members.
    • Address employee concerns and foster a positive work environment.
    • Interact with guests to ensure their satisfaction and address any complaints or issues promptly.
    • Provide information about hotel services and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
    • Ensure that all guest requests are handled efficiently and courteously.
    • Assist the General Manager with budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory, payroll, and operational expenses.
    • Implement policies and procedures to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations within the hotel.
    • Conduct regular training sessions for staff on safety protocols and emergency procedures.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel operations or a supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
    • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development.
    • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with guests and staff.
    • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Problem-solving skills to address operational challenges efficiently.

    • Ensure smooth daily operations across all departments

    • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team
    • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of staff

    • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
    • Implement and maintain emergency and security procedures.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in hotel management, with at least 3 years in a management role in a hotel in Port-Harcourt.
    • Must be a Port-Harcourt resident
    • Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and revenue management
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in hotel management software systems.

    Salary Range
    N250,000 - N400,000 monthly.
