    Gender Inclusion & Protection Officer

    Brief Role Description

    • The Gender Inclusion & Protection Officer will ensure that F‑CASD’s operations, programs, and policies integrate gender perspectives and safeguard the rights and dignity of all participants. This role is critical in promoting equity, preventing discrimination, and embedding protection principles across nutrition, livelihoods, climate justice, and WASH interventions. The position requires strong knowledge of gender frameworks, protection standards, and the ability to foster a culture of inclusivity and accountability throughout the organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop, implement, and monitor gender inclusion and protection policies aligned with F‑CASD’s mission and donor requirements.
    • Mainstream gender and protection considerations into all program areas — nutrition, livelihoods, climate justice, and WASH — ensuring equitable participation and benefits for women, men, and vulnerable groups.
    • Conduct gender and protection audits to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities, recommending corrective actions.
    • Provide training and guidance to staff and partners on gender equity, safeguarding, and protection practices.
    • Review program designs, contracts, and agreements to ensure gender inclusion and compliance with protection standards.
    • Investigate and resolve gender‑related or protection issues, reporting findings to management and stakeholders.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Strong knowledge of gender frameworks, protection standards, donor regulations, and national legal requirements.
