    Junior Sous Chef

     We are eager to welcome talents that fit into the Wells Carlton Professional by filling the following positions:

    The successful candidate is expected to assist the Sous Chefs in overseeing and directing all aspects of the kitchen as well as provide functional assistance. The core duties include but are not limited to:

    • Coordination of activities and functions with other team leads, especially in the absence of the Sous Chefs and the Executive Chef.
    • Keep cooking station stocked before and during prime operation hours.
    • Assist in trainings, inductions and development of the kitchen team.
    • Assists with menu planning, inventory and managing supplies.
    • Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.

    Chef de Partie (CDP)

    Responsibilities

    To be responsible for a specific section of the kitchen in preparing high-quality food to meet TSCH&A standards in the ways listed but not limited to:

    • Prepare, cook and present dishes as directed by the junior sous chef
    • Support the Junior Sous Chef or the Sous Chef in the daily operations and work.
    • Manage and train demi-chef de parties or commis working with you.
    • Maintain inventory of stock in your area of specialty and report shortages to the Junior Sous Chef.
    • Assist in controlling wastage and help maintain food costs.

    Kitchen Steward

    Primarily responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygienic conditions in the kitchen, and performing other duties which include but are not limited to those listed below:

    • Assist with food storage, rotation and preparation where necessary.
    • Maintain cleanliness of all dining utensils, kitchen and kitchen storage areas.
    • Discard all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators and freezers
    • Supervise and coordinate activities of pantry, storeroom and non-cooking kitchen workers as well as purchases, kitchen supplies and equipment.
    • Take inventory of china, silverware and glassware and report shortages and requisition replacements.

    Guest Service Agent

    Provides front desk services to guests, and undertakes various administrative duties, some of which include but are not limited to:

    • Welcome guests, identify specific reservations and allocate rooms according to laid down procedures and issue key card when fully satisfied that all processes and procedures have been strictly and diligent adhere to.
    • Cross selling and upselling of rooms and hotel products/packages
    • Process check-in and check-out for all categories of guests.
    • Balance cash daily and prepare daily cash deposits to be remitted to the general cashier, including deposit of all foreign exchange received.
    • Maintain up to date guest folios and post all charges, rebates and advance deposits.

    Concierge

    Act as first point of contact between guests and the hotel and is expected to perform such duties as mentioned below, but not limited to:

    • Welcome guests and assist them with any and all information about the hotel and the city.
    • Show guests to their room and explain the facilities.
    • Assist in upselling and cross selling of hotel rooms and products/packages.
    • Respond to guest complaints and proffer appropriate solutions.
    • Understand guest’s needs and provide them with personalized solutions by suggesting activities and facilities provided by the hotel.

    Gym Instructor

    Is required to oversee the maintenance of the exercise areas and provide assistance to guests and patrons. The core duties include but are not limited to:

    • Monitor and maintain the gym and pool space at all times.
    • Ensure to keep the gym equipment clean and in good working condition, promptly reporting breakdowns and following up for repairs.
    • Must have the ability and skill to effectively train guests who visit the gym and ensure their safety.
    • Liaise with pool instructor and ensure proper pool treatment in line with SOPs.
    • Must have the practical knowledge on first aid/basic life skills.

    • Previous demonstratable experience in the hospitality industry is required
    • Minimum educational qualification for GSA and Concierge positions is HND.
