    Area Technical Officer


    Purpose of the Job

    • To coordinate, control, manage, support and track day to day network operations in the Area to ensure optimal network availability, coverage, maintaining target network KPI’s to deliver plus one network quality and customer focus.
    • Providing local network support for both the Sales and marketing team in the Areas to ensure the overall network management and quality.
    • The ATO is the Network SPOC in their respective area and executing arms of Network in the Region

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Interface with Zonal Business Manager to understand commercial plans and determine required network support for same
    • Ensure OPEX efficiency of MSC locations by ensuring prompt payment of utility bills, effectively managing the electricity distribution companies to avert power disconnections to the data centers and reduced diesel consumption
    • Track and lead Correction of Zonal Network performance (Various Network KPIs and Network Availability)
    • Manage MS Vendor partners to ensure all the Customer Complaints in the Zone are timely Resolved
    • Network Interface to both internal and external stakeholders especially Commercial teams to ensure customer issues are resolved within acceptable KPIs

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Electrical /Electronic Engineering or Telecoms Engineering (Master’s Degree in Engineering a plus)
    • Sound knowledge of Mobile Network O&M
    • Cross-functional knowledge of Telecommunications Network
    • 5-10 years of varied experience in operation and maintenance in the Telecom industry
    • 3-5 years managerial/Supervisory experience in a GSM/mobile company.

    Channel Manager

    Purpose of the Job

    • To sustain and enhance targeted gross revenue and gross acquisition in respective SME business by effective implementation of planned sales and channel management strategies.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • To identify and recruit suitable channel partners who will drive the effective acquisition of SME customers
    • Ensure adherence of channel partners to all guidelines as this will help ensure their profitability and sustain demand.
    • Responsible for the implementation, acquisition & retention strategy for prospective and existing accounts in the zone
    • Grow the usage of Corporate products in the states

    Skills and Qualifications

    • 3-5 years experience in managing sales channel or Key Accounts

    Key Account Manager

    Purpose of the Job

    • To acquire and retain more Corporate customers and increase revenue for the business.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Visit a minimum of 5 Corporate Organizations per day, 25 visits per week, 100 visits per month, therefore for 6 months = 600 visits

    Purpose of the Job

    • To maximize revenue and subscriber acquisition (gross and net additions) opportunities in assigned territory through channel effectiveness (wholesale & retail), adequate recharge availability and implementation of planned sales & distribution and marketing strategies.

    Area Sales Manager - North Regions

    Job Description

    • Airtel Nigeria is looking for suitable candidate as Area Sales Managers in various Northern locations to maximize revenue and subscriber acquisition (gross and net additions) opportunities in assigned territory through channel effectiveness (wholesale & retail), adequate recharge availability and implementation of planned sales & distribution and marketing strategies

    Regional Distribution Manager - West & Regions

    Job Description/Objectives

    • We are looking for a suitable candidate that will be responsible for implementing planned mobile financial services and go- to market strategy in assigned regional locations.
    • The holder will strengthen and deepened the mobile financial services ecosystem through distribution excellence to grow usage and deliver customer and revenue market share objectives across assigned locations.
    • The holder will also ensure maximum sales profitability and growth within the assigned market through implementation of planned sales & distribution and marketing strategies.

    Other job objectives include the following:

    • Provide leadership - Design parameters and strategic planning (work plan, customer forecast, target objective, mission briefs) and delivers GTM strategy
    • Leading people/team to pursue and achieve the desired business objectives in accordance with established plans, sales goals and schedules
    • Achieve distribution excellence - expand and manage the distribution and agent network
    • Identify and formulate regional sales plan to help drive growth of distribution
    • Identify and recruit right partners to invest in the distribution expansion
    • Ensure distribution development aligns to approved dimensioned touch points (scientific distribution)
    • Establish viable touch points at every cluster of 2,500 and 3,000 people in urban and rural respectively.

    • Development of primary financial statements, such as balance sheets and profit and loss, for regional business
    • Explain and ensure understanding of cost/benefit scenarios to potential partners
    • Ensure appropriate liquidity management

    • Develop a system to ensure that agents can easily reach the branches for their liquidity needs
    • Ensure proper training of stakeholders - Provide periodic first line training for partners and retail agents in their network
    • Provide business with information about success of training as well as new training opportunities
    • Achieve sales performance and management scores in line with the target for the regional distribution area
    • Report sales results of area to management on a regular basis including the analysis of the market to identify new target customers, services, channels, competition activities or other opportunities
    • Maintain a strong cross functional relationship with other channel managers, providing them with information about the product, network, and customers
    • Prepare and compile daily, weekly and monthly activities report including industry awareness/competition intelligence and share with relevant stakeholders.
    • To effectively report competitive activities within assigned territory and implement adequate counter initiatives
    • To immediately address or escalate any unusual competitor activity and sale support that may be a threat to performance of the business.

    Skills and Knowledge

    • 7+ years of varied experience in sales & marketing with at least 2 years at middle management level handling independent businesses
    • Bachelor's degree in Management, Social Sciences or related field
    • Masters in business administration would be advantageous
    • Relevant experience in telecom industry is desirable
    • Minimum of three (3) years’ distribution management experience (with a proven track record and attention to detail) in relevant industries
    • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience managing a distribution-oriented team towards success in relevant industries.
