    Automobile Sales Executives

    Location  (Calabar)

    A highly reputable automobile sales company is looking to engage the services of Sales Executives to drive our business success by implementing a strong and sustainable sales strategy, turning leads and prospects into paid customers. The successful candidates will be required serve as a key point of contact between the organization and its clients – answering queries, offering product advice and introducing new products.

    Key Functions of the Role

    • Find prospects and leads
    • Gain in-depth knowledge and insights about our products and services
    • Understand all the prospects needs, problems or wants
    • Explain how our solutions align with their pain points
    • Close out deals
    • Meet with potential clients and act as their consultant
    • Up-sell when appropriate

    Technical Buyer (Spare parts)/Warehouse Officer

    Location  (Calabar)

    We are a leading logistics and supply chain company looking to hire a Technical Buyer/Warehouse Officer who would be responsible for conducting purchasing activities and ensuring that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality. The ideal candidates must be conversant with truck parts and adept at negotiation. 

    • Assist in negotiations with contacts to obtain cost effective procurement
    • Identify where new suppliers are needed or no longer required.
    • Update management on supplier performance when required
    • Manage supplier relations and negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
    • Maintain the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
    • Coordinate the receipt, opening and evaluation of quotations, tenders, or proposals for goods, services or works
    • Prepare and manage vendor/supplier contracts and purchase orders in liaison with the Finance and Operations manager for its legality and ensure proper authorization in accordance with the company’s policies
    • Carry out market surveys, monitor and evaluate performance of the supply chain function
    • Review the supply chain to ensure it is efficient and effective
    • Manage the annual supplier pre-qualification exercise
    • Continuously review the supplier base to identify new competitive suppliers

    Requirements:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or its equivalent from a recognized
    • Professional Certification in Procurement and Supplies Management is a plus
    • At least four (4) years’ experience in procurement in a large organization
    • Proven experience in logistics and haulage sector is an added advantage

    Fleet/Logistics Officer

    Location  (Calabar)

    Job Overview

    • A highly reputable haulage company looking to engage the services of a Fleet Officer.
    • The ideal Candidate will be responsible for helping management select the right vehicles and maintaining them in good operating condition to enable the company meet its distribution objectives efficiently and cost-effectively.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee assigned fleet’s operations
    • Route surveys and planning
    • Monitor and report daily trucks turn-around time
    • Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking vehicles
    • Direct investigations to verify and resolve all complaints relating to fleet management or drivers conduct
    • Obtain and maintain annual inspections certification by regulatory authorities or in line with contractual obligations from clients
    • Obtain and maintain all truck licensing, registrations and permits
    • Oversee proper use of fuel/diesel rations; maintain log and account for fuel/diesel and oil storage tanks
    • Develop strategies for greater fuel efficiency.
    • Coordinate daily pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections
    • Utilize GPS systems in conjunction with tracking unit to monitor drivers and track vehicles at all locations daily and in case of theft.
    • Conduct, in conjunction with the tracking unit, proper tracking of drivers in transit to ensure prompt and target time of delivery
    • Take prompt inventory of truck at the site of an accident or incident and document properly
    • Ensure prompt handling and coordination of rescue operations of company’s vehicles, personnel and goods, whenever the need arises
    • Recommend cost cutting strategies in order to maximize profits.
    • Ensure compliance with Federal transport laws and regulations.
    • Any other activities as required.

    Educational Requirements

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized tertiary institution
    • M.Sc. in Transport or Logistics is an added advantage

    Experience

    • Minimum 4 years’ experience in supply chain management, including, haulage, logistics, and fleet management and customer service operations

    Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Complete and up-to-date knowledge of Federal and State transportation regulations.
    • Ability to accurately calculate load arrival times and other performance parameters.
    • Must have a working knowledge of computers and Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Excel with a manifest readiness to learn company specific fleet management software quickly
    • Ability to develop and maintain an accurate record-keeping system
    • Prioritization: Understanding of what is the single most important task at any given moment.
    • Ability to think on one’s feet and make decisions quickly
    • Listening skills: Willing to listen to drivers, office personnel, management, state and federal regulators and their concerns.
    • Handle emergencies: Ability to stay calm and take decisions quickly
    • Differentiate driver issues, decipher problems versus complaints and proffer relevant solutions
    • Effective communication which is the ability to speak professionally and remain calm under immense pressure.

    Fleet Analyst/Tracking Officer

    Location  (Calabar)

    Job Overview

     The Fleet Analyst/Tracking Officer will report to the Tracking Coordinator and must be an expert in using and keeping functioning fleet management software to track and monitor the various aspects of the fleet operations, including generating reports to aid business decisions.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Monitor and track trucks form source to destination, ascertaining the location of all trucks at all times.
    • Prepare daily loading projections for clients
    • Real time tracking of all truck locations and event monitoring in all fleets using GPS system
    • Continuously monitor aspects of driver behavior, such as speeding, fuel consumption, excessive braking and erratic driving using telematics systems in trucks
    • Flag off all illegal movements of drivers and notify the appropriate authorities promptly to enable them take action.
    • Monitor delays, time spent at customer locations, diversions, and illegal loadings.
    • Track vehicle locations and improve traceability in the event of a vehicle theft
    • Analyze data to identify vehicle patterns and take remedial action to reduce costs
    • Flag off immediately, issues of violations of geo-fences, speed limits, free-wheeling, night driving, over-speeding, near misses, etc. to management

    Skills and Abilities

    Decision-making capacity: Demonstrated well-balanced judgment in logistical and management skills to mitigate threats and risks to operations

    Planning and organization: Sound organizational and management skills including a strong service orientation. Ability to plan and organize assignments with little supervision, prepared to up manage and ask for support when it is needed

    Accountability: Operates in compliance with service rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Assumes full responsibility for actions and decisions

    Technology awareness: Willingness to use automation technology. Computer skills and basic familiarity with vehicle tracking systems and trucks are required

    Requirements

     Educational Qualifications

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized tertiary institution
    • Higher education, courses in security training and another relevant field is an asset Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of progressive working experience in a similar position
    • Proven experience working with vehicles, dispatch, fleet management, tracking
    • Working knowledge of safety or security operations Good geographic knowledge of key areas.

    Working conditions

    • Would be required to work overtime, and weekends.
    • Would be required to travel as the company deems necessary.
